What is it about Crocs?
They are not my cuppa tea! Just got a pair of Hotters comfort concept shoes for £70 direct from the Hotter website, proper nice!
Very popular over here in Sweden. Although the supermarkets have cheaper (identical) copies.
I hate seeing them when out and about, but I have a pair outside on the decking. They are excellent just to leave outside as the rubbery plastic doesn't stay wet for long.
(In Sweden nobody wears outdoor shoes in the house and it's considered extremely rude not to take them off when you visit someone, so it's useful to have something to put on by the back door.)
These are the best slippers, they are goose down filled and unbelievably cosy
Not to mention F*****g expensive

Gel Noooooooooooooooo........ I may be way off base but the impression of you I have is that your on the right side of 50. If this is true, you simply cannot buy Hotter shoes (even on-line). It's just wrong
Please tell me they aren't velcro fasteners

Right side of 50!
They are slip ons. I find it difficult to buy shoes that fit, so drastic needs! These are black slip ons comfort concept. They do half sizes too, so they are ideal for me.

I do take your point though.
The only other shoes I own are Converse trainers, of which I have 3 pairs! So I was in need of something conservative and smart. They were £70!
I dont find Crocs that offensive, although I wouldnt wear them myself.
Men in Uggs, on the other hand...

Men wear Uggs???
I believe the origin of 'Ugg' boots were sheep skin boots to keep pilots feet warm. As to Crocs, I have two pairs, beige and blue. Had them for about 3 years and love to wear them in the summer. Very comfortable and as somebody mentioned previously, there's nothing more naff than flip flops. Particularely dislike women wearing them out in the evening but just as bad on blokes.
As to crocs being 'uncool' ... I think that depends more on the rest of the wearer. If golden balls would be seen in a pair ... whereas even the latest nikes's wouldnt make Ed Miliband any more attractive, possibly ...

They are certainly a special type of footwear.
Especially grim in my opinion, I would rather walk barefoot over hot coals
Agreed.
That said, the other things (posted ealrier) are arguably worse.
