Why are they so expensive, & presumably, popular? They may be comfortable to wear, but they're made of ugly plastic!!

I've just seen (on their website) a pair of men's walking boots with a completely leather upper.
I flipped around the site and found other 'Crocs' with all leather uppers. The only exception seems to be the Wellies and the flip-flops/sandals.
Anyway, they aren't my thing. I've always liked Brasher for boots and Clarks (or DMs) for shoes.
I've no idea but I have an irrational hatred of the people who wear them, especially when they wear socks with them.

They are truly vile but preferable to a man in flip flops.....Makes my teeth itch.
I visited a showroom few weeks ago, full of colourful Wellies & plastic shoes. I thought they may be made of some special material to warrant such a high price. I asked the salesgirl what were these made of. Her response, "Uh....I don't know. Plastic I guess."
I thought you were referring to the likes of me, until I realized that it was New, rather than Old ones, you were on about!
FWIW. Mrs.Cno loves them, and has a lovely pair in yellow....so I find keeping my humble opinion to myself, is best.
Small kids like them because you can buy "add on barnacles", which make them look even more attractive! .

They are certainly a special type of footwear.
Especially grim in my opinion, I would rather walk barefoot over hot coals

Wow, Woodster must really hate them
Listen, mates, I've been fishing up in the NT in a boat with crocs basking in the sun on the river banks as far as the eye could see. Them's real crocs, give me plastic any time.
Still remember when I took the dog for a walk one morning and a croc had laid eggs in the park across the road. The dog got to stay in every night after that!
My wife wears them indoors, and for venturing on to the patio or just outside the front door.
She's tried to get me to buy some for indoor wear, but I bought slippers instead.
I suppose they'd be good for beach wear, but do people wear these out and about?
