What are people reading?
JohnDuncan:Wife's favourite book. Is on my list. Iain Banks as well (as opposed to his 'M.' alter ego). Complicity is up near the top, yes, along with The Crow Road and Dead Air. Course, you should read Pratchett as well, incredibly intelligent humour. And talking of which, Christopher Brookmyre.
bobbyg81:Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain. He is a chef/writer/travel writer. It is all about his life in kitchens from kitchen porter to chef proprietor.
Ill try them as dead air is the only Iain Banks ive read. ive just ordered that ...ambiguity book, just coz i liked the title innit, so im holding you responsible.
bobbyg81:Talking of books made into films.'Perfume' by Patrick Suskind is a great book. If youve seen the atrocious film dont be put off as it is quite brilliant!!
Strangely enough I've seen the film and my brother and I bought the book for the sweetest smellling second cousin you could hope for this Christmas.
