What annoys you?
JamesOK:the_lhc:For myself what annoys me is not having anything to contribute to the "Where's your favourite spot of Earth?" thread, I simply haven't experienced enough of it to make a judgement but I haven't been struck to the point of awe by anywhere yet. Or if I have I can't remember it, which rather suggests I haven't.Thats an easy one to fix though surely?
Hmmm, no, I rather suspect that'll be quite an expensive one to fix!

"I've seen it, it's rubbish."
You are Marvin the Paranoid Andoid and I claim my 8 Ningis.
strapped for cash:SteveR750:Many many things, but mostly drivers who treat cyclists as a nuisance. The ones that just don't see me or misjudge gaps simply frighten me, the anger comes later.Do you stop at traffic lights, ride in cycles and not on the pavement?
Some cyclists can be a nightmare for drivers: riding two or three abreast on narrow roads... I'm not suggesting you are anything but a model cyclist, however!

I never ride on the pavements, for the same reason cars don't drive on them - bikes belong on the road, or dedicated cycle path. And yes a red light means stop, the only time I have "ignored" them is when the underground inductor loop cant detect me, and its safe to go (i.e. no cars visible). In a group we do ride two up - its safer for cars to have to slow down and wait for a safe place to pass than try and pass a long line of cyclists. Mind you. if there are only a couple of us then of course we'll ride single file when there is traffic about - I am a a car driver & enthusiast so I know what its like on both sides of the fence.
martynsh1984:people who drive at 45 mph everywhere, holding everyone up or risking peoples lives.
people who undertake on the motorway even when others are doing the speed limit.
people who damage others' property through jealousy/stupidity/boredom. Iv had my car keyed 3 times. its really bloody annoying!
there is plenty of other traffic offences i could list, i wish i was a traffic cop sometimes...
Yes to most of these. Also people who assume you are driving as slowly as them in a national and so pull out and stay at 10-20 mph while your brakes are screaming and smoking from trying to slow from 60mph in 5 meters.
Had my last bike written off because of some person/peoples vandalism.
It's been a long time since i've seen a group riding single file. Usually they think they're on their own tour de france and riding in a ragged group all over the left hand carriage way. Totally the sensible thing to do in twisty nationals, especially when it causes a long line of traffic behind them.SteveR750:In a group we do ride two up - its safer for cars to have to slow down and wait for a safe place to pass than try and pass a long line of cyclists. Oh and it's not the cyclists right to decide where is safe for cars to pass on any road, so long as they give you enough space which is even more when you're hogging the road.

Are you talking about motorway sliproads (or even dual carriageway)? I hope you're not suggesting that people should be queuing, stationary, to come onto a motorway because that's just about the most dangerous thing you could possibly do in a car (assuming normal motorway speeds are being adhered to and not in a traffic jam situation)! You should be getting yourself up to a speed matching those travelling in the driving lane of the motorway and merging in a controlled manner, with the drivers on the motorway doing the courteous thing and letting you in sensibly.
Incidentally when a lane is closed on a motorway and drivers are required to merge into another lane it's actually MORE efficient for drivers to use the full extent of the closed lane, rather than try to merge in too early, traffic will flow faster if the full extent of the closed lane is used, just thought I'd mention it before anyone moans about that.

The fact that I read so quickly annoys me, as it means I have to wait longer than everyone else before the next book in whatever series I've been reading comes out, knocked off the latest Iain M. Banks over the weekend, so now that's a good couple of years before the next one turns up.
Oh, and people who use bold for no apparent reason.
No coming off them. Like in heavy traffic. We all que in turn then some moron thinks he has the right to jump ahead of everybody. We all need to get somewhere.
bold its the furure!
Buying a loaf of bread & finding you have an odd number of slices which means you are one slice short of a sandwich, & finding a car has parked right next to yours when the rest of the car park is empty which is what happened to me today.
*takes a breath*... Nah, it's just too easy...
Buying a loaf of bread & finding you have an odd number of slices which means you are one slice short of a sandwich
Then buy an uncut loaf.
One thing that gives me the pip are these huge 4x4 vehicles when a normal family sized car will suffice. Not only do they clog up the roads, but cut you up, drive stright at you when you have the right of way...
I'll go and hire a JCB and see how they feel.
If you hear of a rampaging JCB in Surrey you know its me gone bonkers.
I don't think that's limited to 4x4s, everybody does that in my experience.

This is notoriously bad in my area. It's almost like a club mentality "my car has a bigger p#### than your car." And when they take up practically two bays in a car-park....
