Re: What annoys you?

I forgot to mention that I don't think it right that people on high incomes receive the child benefit either as they clearly don't need it.

'' Or, of course, poor families with too many children (ie that they cannot
afford to raise themselves without taxpayer funding...for everything)
living in multi-million pound properties in some of the most expensive
parts of London, costing the taxpayer tens of thousands of pounds a year
in rent, which the vast majority of people cannot afford to live in''

Such a scenario is real    ?

£28,000 a year is a lot to pay for your children's schooling, which in the process, I expect would relieve the government (taxpayer) of educating that/ those child(ren). Maybe tuition fees at public schools ought to be partially tax deductible.

Most of these 'top schools' have charitable status.  (Worth about £100 Million a year in tax breaks across the private education sector.)

a lot of this is spouted in the tory press but you never hear them
moaning about the tax evaders or tax dodgers if we want to stop cheating lets us at least

have a level playing field and not be spoon fed by the tory press.

Re: What annoys you?

Criminals, of any class. Included are very rich tax cheats, people who blatantly ignore speed limits and then moan when they get caught, people who have no intention of earning a honest living and people who disrupt those who want education, hospital treatment, a peaceful ride home in the bus etc.

Like Chebby's earlier comment this really resonates with me. Without getting too political (don't want a mod to slap my wrists), I've had conversations in the past with mothers picking their children. Some of them are having exotic holidays, driving around in top of the range BMWs, Mercs and 4 x 4s - yet, from what they've told me they are drawing income support and other benefits.

How do they do it? simple: their partners are paying the mortgage, buying the cars and holidays - officially, they live elsewhere!Super Angry

My gripe is because I earn more than £100 a week, I'm NOT entitled to Carer's Allowance...

In the 'Surely not' link a Buckingham Palace spokeswoman stated that colliding with the police officer and failing to stop after the accident was a health and safety issue. Er, no it is Sections 3 and 170 of the Road Traffic Act 1988.

Now added to my annoyed list are people who will say anything to wriggle out of their responsibilities.

A gov't that thinks that earning £44k makes a household rich, making it their 'duty' to subsidise everyone else.

At last, some politics!

For me:

1) Clegg & Cameron's mantra/twaddle about governing in the "national interest".
2) When Michael Gove opines on education.
3) Baroness Warsi - class and race traitor!!!
4) Vince Cable*

* redemption clause applies when he resigns and the Con-demned coalition crumbles.

5) Labour's electoral college depriving the party of it's Prime Minister in waiting.
6) Joss Stone. Just because.
7) not being able to readily purchase the New Statesmen yesterday in Wakefield.

Wish I earnt £44K a yr!
