Not only do other drivers annoy me but my car's trying its best to join in, the clutch pedal has just developed an annoying squeak. It's making it so much more difficult to read and post on forums!!
He's not a diamond geezer, or called Joe!
Councils that don't know their left, right & straight on, on their road markings & road signs, STOCKPORT you are named & shamed.

Which junction/s did you have in mind?
HiFi / A/V / Bedroom
Manchester road/lancashire hill/sandy lane roundabout, from manchester road it tells you to go straight on when infact you should turn right to the town center, travelling up lancashire hill you take the outside lane it tells you to turn right when you want to go straight on to sandy lane.
Bramhall lane south travelling from bramhall to davenport when you get to bramhall roundabout it tells you to turn left at the roundabout when in fact you go straight on from bramhall lane south to bramhall lane south.
Don't mention carrington road & new zealand road crossroads by vernon park.
I live close to the Mcr Rd roundabout, those roads are badly signed after they've redone it, although the marking is much clearer on tiviot way (far fewer people driving into me as they go straight on up mcr rd from the right hand lane). Don't know the other junctions very well I'm afraid.
I was their today heading from heaton chapel to the roundabout cafe (which does good breakfast btw, not sure if i'm aloud to plug) when i saw that new road sign which went up recently & i thought that is so wrong, which is why i posted.
I use it so frequently that I don't look at the signs but I'll keep an eye out now!
I would be interested to know your thoughts & whether it's me, its near the bus stop as you pass wicks in the retail park, road markings have been messed about with aswell which i also find wrong.
Listening to my new hifi and then realising I've gone and wired the uni-directional speaker cable the wrong way round which is why it's been sounding so rubbish.

Is that the sign you are refering to, it is a little strange isn't it, if you are driving down manchester road as far as i'm concerned you turn RIGHT onto lancashire hill & not straight on which is tiviot way.

Sorry Simon, I was referring to the directionality of cables not the directionality of the roundabout! Lancs hill is definitely R, so if it says straight it's def wrong but I'll get a chance to look tomorrow or Friday.
I didn't know either, but from wiki: 'Eddie and Joan Bell (Mark Benton andLorraine Cheshire) - A boring, simple minded - but well-meaning - couple. Eddie's conversations with Ken are usually one-sided and often revolve around temporary traffic lights nearby - a topic that he is obsessed with, but no one else takes any interest in.'
