Watches
I would like a Tag Carrera, but can't afford one.
I currently have a saved search on these on eBay (CW C70 DBR1), can't buy they new anywhere.

If I do buy a watch, I am sure I will still check the time on my phone
I've had my Breitling Colt Automatic (in silver with white face and with additional divers rubber strap) for 9 years and look forward to it becoming a vintage. I wouldn't mind a Cartier Roadster though.

But back in the real world this is what I'm actually wearing at the moment

This is my little beauty....

James - there is a watch repair shop in London on Theobolds Road that will polish up the face of your B&R (like new) for c.£15 so let me know if you want the details. I slipped in the rain a couple of years ago, went for a tumble, and turned the face of the Monaco into a scratch pad - so discovered them then, and they did a great job.
Next square watch for me is probably going to be from Glaschutte or a JLC Reverso (ok, rectangle, not square).
Thanks for the info - theres also a very small ding in the metal ring surrounding the face.
Admitedly I will probably take it to the place I bought it first, they may suggest sending it to B&R.
So in addition to the Blue/white Chr Ward C70, and the HRDC chrono, I also ordered one of these (but with the NATO nylon strap)

I've bough a Hirch alligator stap with contrast white stitching which sets it off nicely. For £400 it's a ridiculously good bargain.
Hmmm, Steve many of Christopher Ward's watches seem to be "heavily influenced" by other brands!!
Like a few of the others here, I have also got a thing about watches and have about 10 at the moment. Here are three of my favourites:
Breiting Colt, Luminox 3001 Navy Seal and Rolex Submariner
EDIT - SCREAM!!!CAN'T WORK OUIT WHY THE PHOTO ISN'T HAPPENING - WILL TRY AGAIN SHORTLY!!!

Because it's expecting a link that ends with ".jpg" and you're pointing to a webpage...

I always get stopped at Customs when I try to walk through with a wrist like that
I used to swap my watches more than I do now my hi-fi.
Most expensive I ever owned was a Bueche Girod 9ct gold dressy thing, and a wafer thin Raymond Weil with a lovely crocodile strap (the first got stolen, the latter got lost in repair).
Had my fair share of Swatches with plastic wrist straps (plus smelly wrist as mentioned earlier), a very nice Rotary until it packed up, and a Seiko which I’ve probably had now for a good 15 years.

Undoubtedly, this is for sure a "homage" watch but with enough style of its own for it to be interesting. It's a bit like guitars, there are les pauls, copies of les pauls, and copies. Occasionally, the copies are better than the original, or at least as good. I'd never buy the original Rolex GMT, as frankly there are for me more interesting alternatives at that price. Plus, I'll bet you'll stuggle to find a better quality watch for £400
However, to be fair to CW, there are a number of watches in his range that are totally unique, for example the Grand Prix range:

Paul, I've been watching them both too. FWIW my C70 US is on ebay tomorrow evening, it's nice but I can't see me wearing it that often.
Woo, just got this on Amazons lightning round thing
£90 not bad!
