Re: v+

Not as good as a Blu-Ray film, but that is to be expected really. Thats not just my opinio but that of the 5 virgin engineers Ive had visiting to repair and intall the 3 boxes that have gone wrong in the past month.

Re: v+

They are all the same mate. I wish you best of luck, and it must have been a teething problem, as it has been running well for about a month now. I dont have the HD, so they have a choice of boxes to give for SD cable customers. Turns out i was being given second hand junk. The last tech from them came out with an old telewest Pace box, 'the best one we do', he said. No problems at all with that one, just the new Virgin Scientific Atlanta ones, that are trouble. Well he saw my PS3 on the rack and asked what it was like. bunged in a Blu-Ray, Casino Royale on 1080i (best my LCD does), he remarked at how much better it was than their V+ HD service. Had a few mates say that now too, my well off ones that can afford to lay out the money for an HD service. oh, to have money. Sad

Re: v+

hi howard,

we have v+ and it is fantastic, only bad thing no sky sports news but setanta have just launched a  channel

the box makes some noise this is just a fan inside not a fault, i have beleieve it or not 2 flannels from the bathroom underneath it and this has signif reduced the noise or 4 1/2 squash balls will work.

go for the xl package its the best and setanta is free.

i have it wired to a 37'' lcd denon amp and an elac 5.1 surround all with qed cables and the built in tuner is fantastic sounds very nice!!

down point not too much hd content yet but more is on way.

music and movies on denmand is amazing so much to choose from, also with sky+ when you pause live tv very annoying green led's will flash around the box but not with v+!!

good luck happy viewing im delighted and think in time it will have far more content than sky.
