The Lance/Oprah thing...
Oprah Winfrey is hot!
The wife switched channels to watch it last night, then completely ignored it, nose buried in he Facebook account as usual. From what I overheard whilst hunched over the other PC in the room, it was an exercise in blame deflection as much as anything else and a blatant attempt to get the competiton ban lifted so he can partake in highly remunerative, sorry competitive, nope sorry again, got it right first time, remunerative, tri-athlon events. I nearly threw up when the first regret he seemed to have was the loss of $78million, kids and rest of family not being able to hold their heads up in public a very distant (not performance enhancing drugs/transfusions/etc. enhanced I am sure) second.
Oprah is hot? How long have you been in for and when's your next parole board???
Is there a second part yet to be shown?

Yeah he didn't come across great did he. I have been in for too long as you can tell. Hoping to get out and about soon.
The second bit has aired too. The only convincing bit for me was when he was talking about telling his son to stop defending him. That seemed legit.
Ta Paul. Is that only part one in the link there?
That was part one, the links have been taken down now because of a copywrite claim. Can't find anymore links to part 2, you may need to "find" it somewhere naughty on the internet.
Cheers.
THere are naughty places on the internet?

That reminds me, I was given a Dinosaur bundt tin for Christmas, must test it out

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't he win six-figure libel-damages against one of the UK tabloids about ten years ago when they accused him of substance misuse? Surely they'll be after that money back! (Unless it was News of the World, in which case, the lucky little son of a EDITED
)
)
Not 100% sure, but as I understand it, The Telegraph lost because they couldn't prove their accusation, their case was based on gossip and hearsay. Just because they turned out to be right, doesn't mean the basis of what they wrote was sound.
That being said, Lance should have his ill gotten gains taken away from him. I just hope Livestrong can recover.
Think it was The Sunday Times and the amount was half a millionquid plus fees, so probably close to 2 million all in.
Over here in the US, Lance waited the seven years since his last open court testimony to come, erm, clean, thus he can't be had for perjury due to the seven year statute of limitations on that offence. How convenient.
Not sure if there's such a statute in the UK, however. If there isn't and he sets foot in the UK again he's likely to get the same treatment as Geoffrey Archer.
Not sure who NOT to feel sorry for - Murdoch or Armstrong.
