If we can expect the same calibre of performance that I endured watching Ray Davies on the Jools Holland Hootenanny the other night, I think I'll give them a miss. Sometimes it's better to just remember some artists as they where when they were in their prime. *Cough* Paul McCartney *Cough*

Unfortunately he shows no sign of doing so.
And he is one of my all time favs.
Me too, and I have huge respect for both he and Ray.
I saw The Kinks at Glastonbury around the early 90s. I only caught the 2nd half of their set, but from what a friend told me, I definitely saw the best half. It was good.
Ray Davies's voice is getting worse and worse though, so I certainly won't be going to see them this time.
As for McCartney, the few tracks I've heard from his most recent album sounded good to me, though I do wish he'd stop dyeing his hair.
