Well I had to go to see the dentist today Crying

My wisdom tooth has been playing up the last few days, had the mother of all headache's yesterday at work. The pain started off in the front of my head then worked it's way down behind my left eye and down one side of my neck. As well as my wisdom tooth aching so much I had EDITED all sleep for the last 2 days.

Anyways after a trip to the dentist today they told me the good news that I have to have both wisdom teeth out on one side and maybe another tooth as well. Got to go and have an x-ray tomorrow and have a dose of antibiotics to take in the meantime.

Looks like I'll be playing the waiting game as the good old NHS have a huge waiting list. So they are going to try and get me into another dentists to knock me out as it should be a shorter waiting time. There's no way I was going to go through that on a local anesthetic. Especially as they said the wisdom teeth are very well routed. Give me the drugs god dam it

God I love going to the dentists

Knowing dentistry nowadays, whichever it is you'd be cheaper with an MF one..............

Tell me about it, it's cost me almost £60 so far and they havn't even done anything yet. God only knows what it would cost if you went private. You'd probably need to sell a kidney and remorgage your house to pay for it.

Re: The dentist....

Ouch. I had a molar pulled out last week. Had the x-ray and then a two week wait for it to be pulled by the dentist at the local NHS drop in centre, which was fun.

Don't envy you having the 3 teeth out in one go, 1 was enough for me. Still the dentist was very thorough with his injections - didn't feel a thing and was numb for about 7 hours!

Lots of ibuprofen and sulpadeine max helped me out a bit while I waited.

Good Luck tomorrow and over the next few days/weeks.

Had all 4 of mine out in one go 1993 courtesy of the RAF. General anasthetic and a day off.
I would say get rid of the lot in one go, there's no point going back in years to come and go through it all again.

They are ,but it depends how old you are and whether the nerves are dead.I have one experience of wisdom removal at Stoke Mandevillle. The chief dentist(a he) who consulted with me had more teeth missing than me.But then they put me in the chair and two of the most stunning Sirens came out to do the extraction.A 3rd was sitting opposite as part of the induction process to be a dentist there.Under local ,they shattered  the naughty tooth and then proceeded to extract. As you said ,they are difficult to pull.In the end, in order to get the leverage, the chief Siren actually had to get onto the chair and straddle me to remove it.The waiting public outside could not believe I was laughing so much.

Cross your fingers and legs you get something similar.Wear nappies if that is the case.It is less embarrassing.
