The Dark Knight Rises - Brilliant film!!! (Spoiler alert)
Just back from Manchester IMAX.
I did have relatively high expectations from the film. I also thought it will be difficult to make it better than The Dark Knight, especially even trying to equal the brilliance of the Joker.
I must say that the film scored on both counts!
The cinematography & sound were simply stunning. More than an hour's worth of film has been shot with an IMAX camera, & the crystal clear quality shines through. The non-IMAX scenes did look a bit grainy in comparison.
Bane's character is splendid, one of those who can instill fear.
Audio is superb. This is another reference blu ray purchase for both audio & video!
A small spoiler alert:
One important aspect of the film is from comic book #497 (July 1993)
Glad to hear it, going to it on Wednesday....can't wait!
You thought more of it than the Daily Mail then.
Ah nice one I will have to go.
They don't know what they're talking about.

Apparently the Indie only gave it 2/5 as well.
There will always be negative reviews. Out of 235 reviews so far on Rotten Tomatoes, 204 have been positive, making it a healthy 87%. More importantly, 93% of the audience liked the film:

In any case, I don't care what the reviews say. I loved the film, & that's all matters to me.
Pretty much sums up my thoughts as well, in a much more eloquent manner.
Went to see it yesterday at the IMAX Glasgow. Thought it was really good, but just lacked that extra bit of magic The Dark Knight had with Heath Ledger as The Joker. Good sound and visual effects. pity it's the end of the era.

Yes it, is. But didn't you think Christopher Nolan left a bit of something at the end for a new series'?
Possibly, but I don't want to spoil it for the people who have yet to see it. After the tragic events that have unfolded over the last week I doubt whether Cristopher Nolan would direct another Batman film.
This film will be the first I've seen at an IMAX...I also cannot wait and have no doubt it will be an excellent finish to a great trilogy.
You'll enjoy it Chisy. The IMAX experience (in my opinion) is far better than a normal cinema.
That's got nothing to do with it, he said a long while ago TDKR would be his last Batman film.

Firstly, I didn't know he said that some time ago.
Secondly, It's MY opinion as to whether he would make another Batman film. Even if he hadn't said what he said some time ago I still doubt after recent events he would make another, but hey you obviously know him better than anyone and know his mind so we'll leave it at that.
