Subject cannot be longer than 64 characters but is currently 70 characters long. ?
WHY do I keep getting this message please ?
Annoying really - especially if the OP has been allowed to post a title that long.
More often than not when I get that message the O/P's subject is absolutely nowhere near the length quoted. For a start the subject of this topic is apparently 86 characters now. It's not, not even with 'RE:' tagged on at the start, it's 72.
Getting this message, I usually just try a second time, sometimes third time. More often than not, it just passes without changing anything.
(by the way: this is in contradiction with Einstein's definition of madness: doing the same thing over and over, and expecting different results... But hey, it works!)

So that's a win for chaoticians!

Why d'you think I made it like that? (a mwa ha ha)

So now it's a win for conspiracy theorists!
EDIT: unless you were acting alone and kept shtum (not sure I thought that one through)...
Think you're not counting spaces.
The system seems to duplicate the heading rather than leave it alone, or simply add 're'. V annoying!
