Sky Broadband Activation Fee

Going to switch over from Virgin to Sky mainly because I'll get the base package for free. Building the package online I notice they will apply a £60 one off fee. I take it this covers the 'free' wireless router and whatever else they are bunging in with the package. Anyone tried getting this fee reduced by phoning them? Would saying something like 'I'll sign up but only if the fee is reduced' work?

Im going to get Sky talk and line rental too. Any opinions?

Been a little lax the last couple of years with keeping costs down. Have managed to more than half my home insurance and something similar with life assurance. Gotta save the pennies for the rainy days.
