Just after an honest opinion from anyone that has taken up one of the "all in" packages from sky i.e talk / surf / tv. I gave up my sky subscription about 2 yrs ago as it just wasnt competitve anymore...........then sky HD came along. I will be signing up again but wondered if it was worth doing the full package of all 3 for £50 + HD subscription. What is Sky's broadband service like? Does the phone bill work out any cheaper i.e. do you still have to pay BT for caller ID etc? Any opinions would be a great help. Cheers chaps....

Re: Sky all in packages

Hiya well i took the plunge this summer just gone (what summer lol?) to the complete sky package, I already had sky tv & my bb & tel was with BT. I was so fed up with BT's ripoff prices for both so I started to look, After lots of thought I went for sky bb mid which is 8mb & plenty good enough for most people in my eyes! For the telephone I cant remember what it is called through sky but its the one where you pay £5 a month anyway so you can make as many calls to europe & ireland, I went for that as we have family in ireland! Your answer to you question is WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR MY FRIEND honest mate its wicked in my eyes I have had no probs ever touch wood!!
The router you get is a nice stylish netgear white one which looks nice by my ipod, I have just set it up for wlan as i bought a laptop for the boss (not for her one bit though its for me really ha ha im typing on it now) and I am so happy with the wireless connection i have a town house 3 storey and i get 99% everywhere ...superb and fast to! plus just as good on the pc to. Telephone you just drop to BT's option 1 package (line rental only) then choose there package. and sky tv is sky tv innit just wicked man? I dont have HD yet but thats on its way if i get my way lol.
To conclude im now saving nearly £40 a month!! all tv bb & tel with sky are 100% wicked & no regrets now if that ent honest for ya chap then i dont know what is....go for it.

Re: Sky all in packages

I have Sky HD and its great, couldn't live without it now.

Re Broadband, seems to be hit and miss, if your in Hornchurch or Brentwood stay well clear of it! I cancelled mine after 3 months, most of that was without any connection. I have 3 friends locally who have also cancelled due to constant loss of connection or dial up like speeds, and my sister in Plymouth is also constantly having trouble with it. I have heard of some people that are happy but many more that aren't, they seem to be heavily over subscribed and their helpdesk is useless and will drive your phone bill up.

Never tried Sky Talk so can't comment on that.

I have TV through Sky, Phone from BT, and Broadband from O2 (DSL) and Virgin (Cable) and have no intention of changing any of them.
