Should Liverpool sack Roy Hodgson?
and the table i put up said 426,mil but not net spend.wich is what most club talk about these days
KK buddy...... no worries ... let's hammer the guy who doesn't like shiney tv's.
Decided I can watch cricket and use a keyboard at the same time.
To be fair, I would say that the basis of a lot of their more recent success was an excellent squad of young players brought through the club. Something that Rafa wanted, and I believe the new owners want also.
There have been expensive aquisitions by Utd, but I have never said or believed that their success was bought (well only in anger)
My point was, that Utd don't have the quality of homegrown young players that they once did, and with their current financial situation, they no longer have the buying power to compete with Man City, Chelsea and Real Madrid.
(WICKET!! HUSSEY'S OUT)
So, I genuinely believe they are heading for difficult times, Chelsea too.
There is a shift in power happening, Man City are most definitely emerging as a club to be reckoned with.
Money alone will not win anything, or maybe just once (Blackburn), but if the owners get the right manager in, and are patient, then City can be very successful.
There is nothing wrong with protest against greedy owners, absolutely nothing, and I'm sure there are genuine supporters of Utd who passionately want rid of their owners, because they see, like I do that the future is bleak if they stay.
My point was that Utd have a lot of fickle supporters, both young and old, that enjoy the success they are having, and have had, but fail to see or care what the future holds. They do not truly love the club, only the success.
Liverpool have these too, and have lost some over the years, but there is a larger core who genuinely love their club
Now my Ferguson remark. It was meant to be humorous, but I failed to add a smiley, and I failed to be funny.
But my point stands true, when he leaves, they could well be in trouble, especially if the American owners are still there taking money out of the club.
I do hate Utd, undoubtedly, but I hate the greed in our game more, especially from unscrupulous owners. So I sympathise, we've been there, and might well still be there.
(ANOTHER WICKET!! SMITH)

that one of a neutral thread.like i said didnt mean to upset anyone just puting info up that i had read.i dont no why it would upset anyone.but i thought it might make intrestig reading.
Truth is, how can anyone but the financial people inside the clubs ever know the true fugures, this is why I dispute them.
2 - 0 down at half time to Blackburn.
I would suggest that he will have to give the team talk of his life, otherwise it's bye bye Woy.
This will leave us just 4 points from the relegation zone ![]()
3 - 0 I think we who wanted him gone have been proven right.
Could be tonight, but tomorrow will do.
Must be end of thread, he can't possibly survive this
bye bye Roy. Won't be long now.
Miggs.
Miggs:bye bye Roy. Won't be long now.

I knew it was a mistake from the start. One half decent season and he gets a top job. Anyone remember Michael Ricketts?

Well he is English!
Could be 'fair well' to Ancelotti too. Where has it all gone wrong for the Blues?

I honestly believe players like Drogba, Terry, Lampard and Anelka are all nearing the end of their best years. This with the fact that they don't have any lesser players on the bench just youngsters has meant they are now seen as susceptible to being turned over. Probably for the first time in 5 years, teams line up against them thinking they have a chance. Now, with Roman not willing or able to spend a great deal and that the stadium and worldwide revenue is not that great, I think Chelsea are in a worst state than Liverpool. And I dont think Carlo has done much wrong.

I agree. But the worst part of all this is that Utd will probably win the league now
.
City are far too negative, tonight they were just so defensive. And Arsenal, I don't know, maybe, but they still lack something.

Up until the end of Oct, with Lampard out and Drogba illness, they were running away with it... now they can't buy a win. It's really been since Wilkins and Arnesen went that Chelsea have slumped.
There's been some horror stories about Ancelotti not picking the team; this is mirroring the last few weeks of Jose's reign.
