Hi guys, noobie here:)

I wasen't sure where to post this..so I posted here..

What it is, I'm having trouble setting up my TV, SKY Box & DVD/VHS Combi Recorder, so as I can record SKY TV to disc. The only connection I can make to the TV (with the leads I have available) is via SCART (AV4). The available leads I have are: 3xSCART & 2 maybe 3x Aeriel.

Here's all of the connections...

TV:

INPUT(AV1)...COMPONENT
INPUT(AV2)...COMPONENT/RGB
INPUT(AV3)..S-VIDEO
INPUT(AV4)...which is SCART.
DIGITAL INPUT RGB1, RGB2
RS-232C
AUDIO IN RGB1, RGB2

SKY Box:

Aerial In
RS-232
RF OUT-1
RF OUT-2
TV SCART
VCR SCART
Left/Right (speakers?)

DVD/VHS Combi Recorder:

EURO AV1 (SCART)
EURO AV2 DECODER (SCART)
ANT-IN
ANT-OUT
DVD&VCR OUT (AUDIO OUT, COMPONENT OUT, DIGITAL AUDIO OUT)
S-VIDEO OUT

Guys, Is there a way to do it with just SCART leads, or do I need to buy 1 or 2 of those Component jack thingy leads? Any advice would be much appreciated Smile

Re: Setup for recording SKY?

Yeah, you should be able to connect the Sky box to the DVD recorder using the Sky's output scart socket to the DVD recorders input socket. Then connect the DVD recorder to the TV either by RF (and tune it into a TV channel) or via the DVD recorders scart output to the TV's scart input.
