I'm not,in my humble opinion the club has got what it deserves.

The majority of Rangers fan's expected and wanted this from what i have heard(talk sport),now they can start a fresh.

This will have a major effect on most teams. Great for the smaller clubs by spreading some wealth and a bit of security but the SPL clubs will be affected negatively in financial terms.

I'm shocked and i guess that's the end of a competitive SPL for some time now (not that two teams could ever be called competitive)....Cetic will now be the dominant force in scottish football for some time which can't be good for the SPL or scottich football in general. It's a long road back for Rangers now, how the mighty have fallen, but they got what they deserved for the running of the club.

Why?  They have got exactly what they deserve.  I wonder how many of the players, they have insisted are still contracted to them, they will hold on to and how they are going to pay them from Div. 3?

hello or goodbye

It's the right result imo.

The sooner all clubs started to really pay for bad (money) management, the better.

At least they'll get to play in England now (when they visit Berwick) Smile

Not being interested in football, i had no idea what you were talking about, i thought rangers were based in london untill i read this:

http://news.sky.com/story/959833/rangers-to-start-season-in-division-three

& then i found out that rangers are based in scotland.

I think this will be the start of the end of the SPL, man of the teams relied on the revenue generated by the visits of both the Old Firm teams throughout the season.
Sky will pull the plug on tv coverage and many of the 'lesser' team in the SPL will end up in further financial trouble as fans desert.

That'll be Queen's Park Rangers you're thinking of.

You are right, but this result has been widely predicted for ages, so it was not surprising - masochistic perhaps but not surprising.

I agree with you John, Scottish football has voted for the possible death of Scottish football.

Pretty stupid IMO.

It's a good opportunity for a few fans to buy a new road map, work out where Clyde and East Stirlingshire play, visit England (Berwick) and a few other southern scottish towns and enjoy themselves.

How many English people actually know where Clyde and East Stirlingshire play? doh!  No cheating shame on you

RE: Rangers Voted into Division 3

I might actually start watching them again. I got disillusioned with Scottish football a few years ago, but I'd quite like to see a bunch of young lads (and probably a few old-timers!) trying to come up through the leagues. Well, providing there are any leagues left to come through in a year or two's time.

Can't help but think Sky will still have a part to play in all this. It's reported that the Old Firm derbies give them their highest viewing figures outwith English League deciders and the like, so I don't think they'll want to lose all that revenue.
