Rangers Voted into Division 3
I'm a Rangers season ticket holder now thanks to a good neighbour.
It is true that most of us Gers fans want Division three football this coming season and there are parties going on as I type.
Idea being that the sad clubs who voted no to us being in the SPL which we more or less made... many will now go to the wall.
Bottom line is that our own football association is corrupt and there is little if any chance of Rangers Football Club ever competing in Division 3 this coming season.
TOO much money to be lost elsewhere.
This same corrupt football associasion will create a new league.
One teir below the SPL..... the guess is SPL 2.
This is where Rangers will be playing... integrity as we all know, have known for years now is dead in football... right down to the players all falling over like big girls..... from the low sides players in the World right up to if not all ... Barcelona's.. Real Madrid... Man Utd... etc etc... the whole game is corrupt from top to bottom.
FIFA 's own top officials (suspected of CHEATING now for Many a year) are now found out to have taken bribes.
Down there in England there are normal/ordinary skilled players selling for over £15 million pounds... how sad the beautiful game has become.

If it's that corrupt then save your season ticket money......
I think my own club (Kilmarnock) will be in serious financial trouble. I also think administration or worse looms. It seems to me that it's a massive case of "be careful what you wish for" with most of the SPL clubs. These clubs just took it for granted that Rangers would automatically be voted into Division 1 and back in the SPL in a year so the TV,sponsor, hospitality, gate money, etc, etc that Rangers generate for the SPL wouldn't be away for too long, and ok it would be a struggle but normal service would resume after a year. Yes, i totally agree with sporting integrity and punishment that suits the crime and that should always be paramount with any sport but after being docked 10 points, banned from European football for a minimum 3 years, club and 100 year plus history liquidated and many more punishments still to be dished out, then how much punishment is enough???. I think a lot of clubs were in a no win situation with their fans caught up in the "blood lust" of Rangers and all wanting to put the boot in without looking at the bigger and more long term picture. I also think a lot of Rangers fans wanted to be put in Division 3 for the reasons that SKY would pull the plug or vastly reduce the contract, sponsorship deals would be much lower as well as hospitality and gate money, thus choking the the SPL clubs who put them there to death. Let's see what happens.
They were lucky to be allowed in the 3rd division. Rangers went broke and probably wll do again, how will they maintain their stadium with tiny 3rd div crowds?

and have cheated there way to tainted so called glorys admit this at least, and its rangers and rangers only to blame
for the whole mess they are in.
We English hear all the time about how passionately patriotic the Scots are.
So I am sure that all these patriotic people will dust down their wallets and attend in ever greater numbers to watch Scottish football and save the clubs from oblivion.
The more so, the further away from the place they can get themselves in my experience.
Some of the 'professional Scots' that I have grown up with here, in this part of southern England* (and who are less likely to ever live in Scotland than I am) would make Fyfe Robertson seem like Stephen Fry in comparison. Oddly, they are the strongest supporters of Scottish Independence too.
('Oddly' because some of them were born in - and have lived their whole lives in - England. Thus they would lose their common UK/British ties with the place they speak of so fondly, and become 'foreigners' north of the border.)
*Lots of Scots came here (and still do) with the Royal Navy over the generations and settled, married and had families here.
I'm not.
EDIT - fervently patriotic that is.

Reminds me of the joke my much-missed Irish uncle told me (before breaking into a chorus of Danny Boy at a family wedding): "Did you hear about the Irish boomarang? It doesn't come back, just sings lots of sad songs about how it wants to"
I don't know why the Scottish goverment didn't bail them out, after all they spend our money on everything else.

"Our" money????. Shows how much factfinding you've done. I didn't realise none of us Scots actually pay tax.
Hi,
So, Glasgow Rangers - the biggest Club in Scotland buy their way to success, living beyond their means. They're 'caught het' and can't pay those who deserve to be paid, including some of the Clubs in the SPL.
Their punishment is dished out and they accept it, no problem they say, but they laugh at the rest of the SPL and Scottish football as a whole as many may go under without the cash/interest/TV rights generated by having Rangers as part of the top tier set up.
Why should the punishment be any different because it's Rangers? Gretna went bust and were relegated to Division 3.
IMHO - Rangers were at the top of the tree because they borrowed beyond their means. It was going to come crashing down eventually. They have got what they deserve. The bitterness shown does nothing for their reputation or integrity.
Just to clear things up - I like watching football. I don't follow any team. I don't like what football has become or how the players behave on or off the field.
Things need to change and quickly. If this is the catalyst that forces changes then so be it.
Cheers,
Cofnchtr.

I might actually start watching them again. I got disillusioned with Scottish football a few years ago, but I'd quite like to see a bunch of young lads (and probably a few old-timers!) trying to come up through the leagues. Well, providing there are any leagues left to come through in a year or two's time.
Can't help but think Sky will still have a part to play in all this. It's reported that the Old Firm derbies give them their highest viewing figures outwith English League deciders and the like, so I don't think they'll want to lose all that revenue.
There won't be any Old Firm derbys...other than through cup draws.
After 2 months of the new SPL Celtic will be 15 -20 points clear of the rest......title over!
