Policing or entrapment....?
Fly on the wall TV programme this morning.
Leave a laptop on a bench in a park on a bench, and see what happens !
First two people that find it ring the police to report it there. The policeman seems gutted by this ,
Seems the idea is to find who takes it home , then raid the home and arrest them for stealing.
is it a case of finders keepers , not a hardened criminal at work??
Opinions please ....
All seems a bit off hand to me , come on police, you can do better than this !
Maybe you should have watched "the wright stuff" instead a much better morning show to watch imo, can't comment on the laptop, obviously someone with too much spare time on their hands.

Surprised a policeman didn't use it to leak something to the press

Didn't anyone sit down on the bench and log in to the WHF? forums to comment on active speakers?
Didn't anyone open it to see if it belonged to a Government minister? (The usual reason for discarded laptops in public places.)
Didn't anyone realise that the biggest crime being perpetrated was by the programme makers for adding yet more sad dross to an already dross filled daytime TV schedule?
