RE: Olympic Boredom !

We watched another 'Twenty Twelve' episode last night. It'll be hard to believe the real organisers are anywhere near as competent.

Other people seem to like them and it's only once every four years. I just don't, personally, enjoy them. Hopefully they will all be on Sky next time.

I heard sky are broadcasting aswell,on behalf of the bbc?!

I don't intend to watch 1 minute of it. I just hope it isn't a magnet for terrorists. Imagine G4S dealing with that? help, I`m sinking

I think that if you talk to people who live near the venues, you will find that the majority wish it wasn't happening. We don't want the disruption to our daily lives.

Indeed. Real-life events have become far more farcical. Mind you, Siobhan Sharpe toooohtally remains my PR role model Smile

Yes, I could see that could be a problem living to close, not sure I would want all the disruption.

Still looking forward to watching it though.

Came by Greenwich Park this afternoon, G4S goons have sealed it off, so can't go in for a walk and cup of tea any more.Angry

I wouldn't like it on my doorstep either. All this guff about the local residents embracing the games usually comes from people who live nowhere near ther.

The thing that sealed it for me was the recent judgement that went against some local residents who failed to stop missiles being placed on the roof of their tower block. Perhaps it's just me but this does seem a little over the top on the part of the MOD.

On the sport side, I really enjoy watching is the basketball from the Para Olympics which is one of the most aggressive and brutal games going.

And clearly you'd know more about the current level of terrorist threat than the Home Office.
