5 months and counting 
I'm up to 3!
4th attempt now,still can`t do it,will try again soon.Did stop september 05 though and silly me,started again June 06,found pressure of moving house too much,still having too many beers too.
Stop smoking is so easy! I did it 6 times last year without any problem

it has been a long time since i last had a cigarette, i remember the day, July 1st but not quite the year... but the money saved as gone on HiFi kit.

.........it was a hell of a year last year............crashed car (write off) by doing a up in the air flip/twist thing ........... got married and stopped smoking............

If anyone wants to know, I read Easyway to Stop Smoking by Allen Carr. Brilliant book. Much better than gum or patches.
Read the same book and found it a complete waste of time. I still quit, but didn't need some patronising guy telling me to just think "Oh I stopped smoking, isn't that great" 50,000 different ways to help me!! Oh and he's wrong as well, 4 months on and I still want a cigarette every time I have a beer!
Agree with his advice on not using patches and gum though. How can feeding your addiction to nicotine possibly help you give up your addiction to nicotine?!
It's when you stop counting that you know you've really quit. Well done, and stick with it...
