Norwich City
gel, I see you've taken Dani Pacheco on loan from Liverpool until the end of the season, which is bad for us, but very good for you.
You'll be able to see what I've been raving about for the last 6 months, he's class, and he'll defintely help to get you promoted.
He's around 5'6, so quite short, and quite light weight, but technically superb. Great on free kicks around the box, and corners, and can see a pass.
Was nicknamed El Asesino (The Assassin) at Barcelona because of his ability to score from any position
Only occasional fault, is trying to do too much on his own, but he'll learn quickly in the championship.
Best played behind the central striker in a free role. I think a lot of Liverpool supporters will be keeping a close eye on Norwich for the remainder of the season, we have very high hopes for Dani, so I think this is a toughening up exercise to help prepare him for next season.
Hope it works for both Norwich and Dani, this could be the making of him.

Well we have two games live on Sky soon, so should be able to check him out
looks like he really wanted to come too us as well:
Is he fast then? we are playing really well at the moment and have a really good team spirit, so he should be able to settle in well. I figure if we could win our next two matches we could possibly be nearly there, depending on how others go. Yep we play Swansea on tv and Forest as well soon.
Cheers
He's not really pacey, but nippy over 10-20 yards, enough to take people on and move away in tight areas. Plays on the left for Spain U21s, but likes to come inside, and he always wants the ball.
He seems like a really nice lad too, he's very confident, but not a showman or arrogant, so won't upset the team spirit you have.
I think he wants to go to Norwich because he's desperate for 1st team football, personally I'd like to see him playing up front with Suarez, but Kenny obviously doesn't think he's quite ready.
I'm sure you'll be impressed, and I'm sure he'll get some goals for you.

When is Kenny going to think he's ready. Dani signed in the summer of 07 so nearly 4 years at the club!
Although only 20 and with loads of potential (Or at least we've heard he has) isn't it time he got a run in the team, or at least come off the bench regularly, how N'gog still gets a run out is beyond me.
When did Fergie, Wegner and Moyes think Giggs, Ronaldo,Rooney,Wilshire,Rodwell etc,etc were ready??????

It should be interesting to see where he plays then because we have Holt upfront and he is number one but we have quite a few injuries at the moment but they are not too far from full fitness, then it would be Martin, Wilbraham, and Jackson. Then we have this Vokes as another big striker, so it does seem possible we could potentially play him left wing or as a second too Holt.
Against Bristol City it was clear we were lacking a very good second striker too Holt, Jackson played upfront with him but did not do too well. On our website the Spanish guy on Sky Sports talks about him quite abit too, very similar to what you have said:

Nice goal from Suarez at the weekend by the way
Cheers

I couldn't agree more, I think Dani is ready for the Liverpool 1st team, but maybe Kenny wants to see how he gets on in a physical league, playing in a decent championship side.
Ngog is a different type of player to Dani, more pace, more physicality, just lacks any kind of quality unfortunately - I think he'll be gone this summer.
The Sky Sports guy obviously thinks as much of Dani as I do, nice words, and absolutely spot on. He's a bit like Iniesta, very Barcelona in his style, and potentially as good.
Paul Lambert knows what Dani can do, Vokes will be back up to Holt, Dani should get some games.
I think Liverpool and Dani himself will be extremely miffed if he's just used as a bench warmer, use him right, and he'll do the business.
I presume because these are emergency loans, Norwich have a lot of players out with long term injuries?
From a well-known football website:
"If Norwich were close to promotion before, they have surely got it all wrapped up now, for they are about the sign the bestest player in the world, ever!
What do you mean, who? Have you never spoken to a tetchy Liverpool fan before? It's Dani Pacheco of course!
Presumably if Roy Hodgson had packed him off to the Championship it would've been an insult and a criminal mismanagement of Liverpool's shining stars. Since King Kenny is the man in charge now, we can only assume this is a sensible move to give a young prospect some experience."

I think you'll find this tetchy Liverpool fan actually said he would have preferred Pacheco to stay at Liverpool, and partner Suarez, and also Suarez07 saying something similar.
So here's 2 LFC fans who are not in total agreement with Kenny's decision, 1 decision, where as Hodgson made poor decision after poor decision.
Now can we get back to discussing Norwich City

We have had a couple of injuries Wilbraham (back - not serious though), Martin (been out about 5 weeks, as far as i know back soon), basically i think these two signings are designed to make sure we get promoted one way or another. By that i mean if we don't go up automatically then we are certainly going to need a few more players potentially to get us through the play-offs.
We did try and sign Mackail-Smith from Peterborough for £2.5 million but they then up the price at the last minute too £3 million - jokers, a couple of days back. So these signings up too make up for that and ensure a final push. I see Swansea have signed Priskin from Ipswich on Loan (not too bothered about that), Cardiff have signed J Lloyd Samuel (according to one of our message boards), so it should be interesting to see if any other loan signings go through today, for our competition.
Yep, Lambert i am sure will have signed Dani for a very good reason and hopefully he will be creating and scoring lots of goals and we will not have to wait too long to get promoted - here's hoping.
Cheers

Been waiting all day to get proper internet access to join the dedicated NCFC thread
Was a season ticket holder through most of the 90s until I move North. Only made the Sheff Utd away match this season, when we didn't play great but got a good win
Thans for the info on Pacheco BBBL! I'm really glad we've made these signings as I think Lambert has been desperate to keep up with the competition around who've been making loan signings. It sounds like Vokes is cover for the injured Wilbraham, who Lambert seemed to want to play upfront with Holt in tough away games to give us big physical presence. Pacheco a replacement for the injured Martin, as the smaller man and a more natural finisher. It sounds like if he can hit the ground running he could do a better job, as Martin hasn't quite hit his straps this season.
I'm quietly optimistic over our chances - obviously we're in the driving seat and, unlike all those around us, we have the experience from last year of doing what is needed to get promotion. I also think we have the best manager in the league in a number of areas - signing the right players, fostering a determined but happy spirit, and getting results in tight games.
Come on you yellows
Also on tv against Portsmouth too now.
A little bit more on the new man from Dalglish junior:

, yeah i just found out this morning on Sky Sports News. I thought he was the one i heard you mention on here, so what is the low down on him again?
We also signed Sam Vokes from Wolves on loan, hopefully these two signings will secure second place for us now.
Cheers mate
Also nice to see we have a Norwich City thread - with hopefully lots too talk about in the next few months
