Hello gel

I've been away, but now I'm back.

Moved house, and I forgot how useless this country can be. I was without a home phone for 6 weeks, and have been without the internet for 2 whole months.

Congratulations on the promotion to the premier league, and good luck.

What did you think of Dani Pacheco? Seems he's quite keen on going back to Norwich if Keeny doesn't give him some games.

God! it's good to be online again.Smile

Hi mate

I wondered where you were. Smile.  Nightmare moving house,  i have done it a lot - never gets any better.  Cheers mate, yeah we got there, yeah i think we might need a bit of luck along the way. Big Smile.  Yeah i really liked Dani - a very very good player, i think it was a little hard for him to come into our team, because of how we play, but he done really well - very pleased.

Got a great clip of him scoring against Ipswich on YouTube, this is what it is called 5 - 1 Ipswich v Norwich The 5th Goal, City Roof Dancing And The Final Whistle - you got to check it out, one of our supporters is in the Ipswich end and filming it.  Big Smile.

Yeah, i hope we do get him back, he would be really useful for us in the Premier League.  You finished the season well, and probably in the best place 6th, you certainly did not want 5th - you are not in the strange European Cup comp now (can't think what they call it these days) are you? - you certainly don't want to be.  3 year contract for Dalgish too - really good, i heard him talking the other day, looks like you are going to get a lot of money for players this summer too.

Cheers mate.  Thumbs Up.

Yeah, back-to-back promotions - he deserves that. Thumbs Up.  Apparently there is going to be some good news on Lambert this week - with a new contract (hopefully) - yes.  I am glad West Ham got relegated - Big Smile, although i do like their fans.

The Sun yesterday linked us with Bradley Johnson (Leeds player) out of contract and Mau U full-back Ritchie de Laet, 22, for 2 million - i don't think i have ever heard of him.  Not long now before the fixtures are announced.  Thumbs Up.

Yean, apparently even West Ham's relegation didn't matter and there were still big rumours he'd be off - I think contract brinksmanship again. But the board have 'announced' that there'll be a positive announcement soon on his contract - presumably a deserved, whacking pay rise! He's our biggest asset and I think the board realises that.

Thanks for the info on signings. I've heard good things about de Laet but don't think I've seen him play. Let's hope it works out.

Lambert signs new deal:

Big thumbs up - yes.  Yeah i was still a bit worried, but to be honest i think he would be an idiot to go to West Ham with those 3 clowns in charge.  Just seen Lambert talking on Sky Sports, he said that he always wanted to stay, and the reason it took so long was because he was in Scotland.  Also i think with Culverhouse as his number two, ties him a bit more with Norwich.

Also we keep being linked with Klose of Bayern Munich - personally can't see that one happening, i have always thought German footballers get really well paid too - decision expected about his future this week.

Cheers mate.

Good news that Paul Lambert has signed a new deal.

I was a bit disappointed to see Dani on the bench quite a lot at Norwich, but as you said, it takes a little adjusting to different leagues and different styles of football. Was pleased to see him celebrating with the rest of the team when you confirmed your promotion, he looked as happy as anyone.

I actually wanted Liverpool to get the Europa league place because I think Kenny was going to play some of the kids and reserves in the competition to blood them.

Would have been good for Dani, as he is well suited to European football.

I am a little concerned that Dani will struggle to get the games he wants with all the talk of big players coming in, so there could be a chance of a loan deal to Norwich again, though personally, I would like him to stay and prove his worth.

Time will tell

it's good to be back, can't believe how long it took to sort everything, and how important the internet is to my daily life now.

Big smile

Thanks for the info. Glad we got it sorted at this stage, now no distractions from making the right signings and pre-season training.

Can't see the Klose thing happening, but it would be nice to make a big signing.

I think we will have £40million to spend, well that's plenty if they buy clever I reckon.  Any big name over 35 years old then!

Being linked with a couple of more players in The Mirror today - Jimmy Bullard (Smile) - not quite sure what i think about that, getting kinda old now, still like him but not sure if he is what we need.  James Vaughan - that one don't look very good (if i have the right James Vaughan).

Yeah, Dani did not have a great game away at Swansea - he spent a little too much time on the ball at times, when we were breaking forward, and when we go forward we like to go forward fast.  There were a couple of opportunities for him to pass to breaking forward players and instead he tried to take on a couple of people or keep the ball a little bit too much.

Next game was Forest at home (i think) he was on the bench, and we went for Jackson - very fast player, who will play on the defenders shoulders a lot more than Dani would.   Also we had Hoolaghan back by then from memory, so he could not take that position.   Yeah it was more him adapting to the league and style more than anything - certainly good enough, would very much like him back.

Yeah i know what you mean, i am on the internet all the time - even on holiday.  I watched you against Arsenal - i liked it what Dalglish said to Wenger at the end of the match.  Smile.

£2.5 million fee agreed with Everton for Vaughan - not sure what i think too that, also hearing we have gone back in for Morison of Millwall, and he has handed in a transfer request.

And he's now signed. IMO that's not a bad fee and could work out a good signing - there was a lot of hype about him when he first broke into the Everton first team and I remember being quite impressed by him. He just doesn't seem to have fulfilled his potential. If he has the technical skills Lambert may just be the person to bring the best out of him. Hopefully! Wink

As a Liverpool fan gel I find it hard to say anything complimentary about Everton, but Vaughan seems like a decent young player.

He's not going to set the world alight, but he's young, technically good, and he should be hungry to impress. IMO, a very good buy for 2.5 million.

Lambert's not stupid, he knows what he needs and what he can afford, he's a good manager, and a good man.

Have faith gel Smile

Delighted for Paul Lambert, speaking as a Celtic fan; he was a great servant to our club and equally pleased to see there's another Scot at the helm of yet another Premiership club...!  Wink

Best of luck this time round Norwich, well deserved but don't blow it with the money!
