Norwich City
The goal and reaction from the Norwich end.
Final whistle and the celebrations.
Oh yeah, the celebrations were great - the best scenes i have seen for a while. Also Sky Sports coverage was great, went onto 10.30 as well - just brilliant. The Morison link came from the Daily Mail about a week ago, but i have learnt over time, that The Daily Mail is a pretty reliable source when it comes to football links, so i would not be surprised if we do sign him.
Drury - after that needless own-goal that cost us 2 points, i have not seen him since, so it would not surprise me if he did go. Lansbury - my brother in law knows his Uncle and just told me tonight, that he is saying they are in talks, apparently he loves being at Norwich, and would welcome a permanent deal. I can only see him getting better, like Dani, with both being very young but extremely talented, i know we only used them as subs mainly this season, but next season i can see them getting alot better, so i would be pleased to see them at Norwich again.
Yeah i think you might be right on the transfer record being smashed quite a few times, perhaps i was being a tad over optimistic there. Smile. Hopefully once, perhaps at most twice. Yeah, i can't quite believe we have had back to back promotions, that sort of thing does not really happen to us.
We are certainly getting alot of coverage in the newspapers and on tv at the moment - great stuff, can't wait to see what happens throughout the summer.

Don't have Sky unfortunately so not seen all the coverage. Looked at the local football highlights on iplayer, Dion Dublin was delighted and Matt Holland took it in good spirits. Read a lot of papers yesterday and as you say everyone seems very positive. Having been to the corrugated sheds of Sheffield Utd and Leeds recently, Carrow Road really is a great place for travelling fans and journalists to go, except for the distance.
Interesting stuff about the Mail, he sounds like the sort of player we could do with. With Lansbury (and Dani) if we could sign them permanently I'd be delighted, they both look quality from what I've seen, they seem to have that extra time on the ball. Wenger has a good record of letting players go early who he doesn't think will quite make it - let's hope he does and gets it wrong like with Diarra
It would be a shame to see Drury leave as he's been a great servant, but I agree he's not going to be good enough. Re transfer record, if we don't break it at least once it'll be hard to stay up. After the last two seasons I'm more than happy to put my trust in Lambert making good signings and taking the right ones in on loan
The coverage on sky was amazing, really great. Went into the changing rooms after the match, you could see just how together our players were. Saw Delia come onto the pitch really late on after the match, the fans a little while after the match had finished were allowed to come onto the pitch and celebrated with the players. The players also came out again late on and were celebrating with the fans, and Lambert too. Culverhouse (Norwich Legend) was celebrating with Lambert on the pitch - it was just great. Our fans stayed really late on, they were still singing at 10.30 when the programme finished.
I just hope with whatever we do this summer and in the premier league Lambert is 100% happy with it, as long as he is happy, then i think i will be happy.
Should be finding out today, whether we are champions or not, i suppose we will get more money if we are champions, so i am routing for that. Smile. Some whispers have started that QPR are in really big trouble here, whether to the extent they are saying we will have to see.
That QPR Chairman, i am pretty sure i used to play tennis with him, quite a number of years ago now.

I'm optimistic about this. The last time we had a manager this good was O'Neill. He had the team playing in a similar way, but clearly had very different expectations of how much money should be spent (given he'd probably been lied to about how much there was). Lambert is fully aware of how much (little) there is and was very realistic this season about what could be spent. I think he will be again, and seems to have an ability to buy the right player for the right price.

Same here. As Paul Lambert said, 'I don't want a T-shirt, I want a trophy.'
Heard about the Luton precedent the other day. Quick google shows they were docked 10 points for paying agrents via a third party. So not the same, but similar, and IIRC this was after the rules were tightened following West Ham. That'd be nice

Yep, the O'Neil situation was very much in my mind when i was typing that. Big Smile He wanted i think it was about £750,000 - 1 million for Dean Windass but we could not afford him, so he walked. Yep and no doubt he was lied too. In the newspapers again today West Ham being linked with Lambert again.
McNally interview on the tv yesterday saying again "people want our manager", so i just hope he is cool with everything, i think he should be. Delia is very good i think when it comes to transfer funds, so i would be really disappointed if something does go wrong in the next year and at the end of the day he is building something really great here and potential is there.

I'd forgotten it was over Windass. I do remember it tho - I was at a Leicester away match (I think a cup game) and the rumour on the coach was that he'd quit and he then didn't appear in the dugout. Bad times. Robert Chase was still around, I remember when he left and the finances were revealed, like the multi-millions he'd spent on a very small patch of land by the ground, so I'm sure he must have lied to O'Neill about what he could spend.
Just had to check when the Burnely story was, remarkably it was only in January. I heard he was pretty much going to leave but was then convinced to stay with a pay rise and a longer contract (mostly so we could get more compensation if he did go in future). I assume he would have got more money to spend there, but I thought at the time we had the much better chance of promotion - and so it proved. So I suppose West Ham with a big transfer fund would be tempting. But he is building something, and if he could get us into the top half, with the way the game is these days he'd go down as one of the Norwich greats (in the way that Worthington, despite a marvellous promotion season, won't because of the relegation).
I see Ipswich are 16/1 to be promoted next season. And for those of you who don't understand betting, it means if you put £10 on, you're going to lose £10!
Hello gel
I've been away, but now I'm back.
Moved house, and I forgot how useless this country can be. I was without a home phone for 6 weeks, and have been without the internet for 2 whole months.
Congratulations on the promotion to the premier league, and good luck.
What did you think of Dani Pacheco? Seems he's quite keen on going back to Norwich if Keeny doesn't give him some games.
God! it's good to be online again.

Brilliant, i've laughed me socks off.
But a wise man would put £10 on Norwich to go down.
Paul Lambert has won the Championship manager of the year. Rightly so! I fancy us to stay up, even have a decent season, if Lambert stays.
