Just signed Bassong from Spurs for a reported £5.5m - that must be a record signing - good one? Smile

Nope.  Smile  I suppose he's not too bad!  Bad start for us though, and now got you BBB in a bottom of the table clash Saturday!

Hopefully without Mark Halsey as ref. ;)

Yep, definitely agree with that.

Yeah, Bassong has been quite good apart from the penalty he gave away against QPR.  Don't understand Johnson playing in midfield I suppose we have no one else with Fox being hurt and Crofts sold - another bad decision.  I hope you're right with the season picking up now - just can't see it at the minute though.  So far it has made pretty painful viewing and some of Hughton's decisions - flipping heck!

Hoping for a win tonight and then on Saturday.  We can leave Liverpool in the bottom three.  Laughing

Yep, not sure what's going on with Hughton. We do know he's capable, so hopefully just a bit of time to settle in is needed. Or it could turn out like Roeder.... I'm worried that we have too many similar midfielders in the squad and we're not getting the best out of Hoolahan or leaving Holt to get on with the job of sticking the ball in the net.

Last season it took me going to Bolton for us to get a win, so I'd better get some tickets soon....!  Wink

Tough game for Norwich in the next round, and possibly an emotional one for Brendan Rogers against Swansea.

I'm just over the moon, played all the kids tonight, and they were outstanding. <img src=" />

I think I've waited long enough gel and Ben. ;)

What a result! <img src=" />

I am really glad you did wait, my response over the weekend would not have been good.  Laughing  I really fear for us now, but fair play to you - you were good.  Right back to the MK Dons friendly I knew we would struggle, but I fear it could get even worse - result wise.

Hughton just looks clueless!  Does not know the players, or their best positions.  I really hope he manages to surprise me now, but I can't see how.

Actually, I thought I'd turned on to an early League cup game. Our team full of academy players and 5 goals scored. Surely Delia's lot aren't in the top league....surely.

I knew I thought we stood a good chance looking at the teams but that soon went to pot!  Smile  What was it about 1 minute and 7 secs and you scored! Dear oh dear!

RE: Norwich City

All year our performances have been good, so for the first time in the league, we got the reward for a decent performance. I am really excited for the future, we have some fantastic young players that Kenny wouldn't give a chance to, but Brendan has had to, and it seems to be working. Even Pacheco is getting a few games, and I've been raving about Suso and Sterling, so really pleased they're doing the business.

As for Norwich, not looking good if I'm being honest. Hughton did a good job at Brum, so he maybe deserves a bit of slack, but following a "successful" manager is never easy.

Unless Suarez gets shot he'll never get a penalty, so it could have been a few more than 5, and we gave you a couple too.

Chin up, keep supporting your team, no point getting on their backs, however bad it looks.

RE: Norwich City

Yep, I certainly wasn't going to be the first to post on this thread after the weekend  ;)  Crying

Really not good, can't fathom why anyone would start with Morison and Jackson up front and leave Holt on the bench. 4-4-2 is not a great formation for us, and a way has to be found to get Hoolahan in the side, he's the one player we have with a bit of 'magic'. 3 tough, tough games coming up, Chelsea, Arsenal and the 'grudge' match against Villa. Lose all 3 and we'll be a bit adrift.

Still, no question of getting on anyone's back from me. I'm never a 'boo boy' at games, and try to be level headed when doing well and not so well. Hard not to be concerned tho.

Well done to Liverpool, it's been a shaky start but there is nothing as exciting as having a group of players coming up through the ranks  Smile
