Hi mate

Get in there - brilliant news!  Best news that - Lambert can do one, but Holt is vital.  Really looking forward to the new season now.  Just hope a few others do the same now.

Yeah this is great news, a huge relief. Interesting Mirror article where he admits the transfer request was a ploy to get a 3 year contract. I do think he'll be too old at 34, but he deserves it for his service over the last 3 years.

Martin, Surman and Ruddy have all signed up in recent weeks, do the squad is looking settled and strong. Howson and Bennett are like new signings, but are settled in.

BBC sport has a squad list at the bottom of the page. I think we need one more defender, probably cover for LB, and a striker to replace wilbraham, but all good at the moment  Smile

And Butterfield signed:

(Was wondering why I couldn't find any rumours for Butterworth  Wink )

Looking forward to seeing him play - he sounds quite good - England under 21 player.  Hoping we might sign another striker now.

Reading a bit about him, he sounds like an exciting signing. Captain of his club at age 21. He continues our policy of signing the best young Brits from the leagues below. Hopefully his injury is behind him and we can ease him in over the next few months.

Cheers mate, I thought I would have it a Norwich colour.  Smile  Yeah I think Holt deserves it too.  Did hear a rumour that Naughton might be on his way back.  Spurs were just seeing what the new manager thought, not sure how likely that though.  I would imagine it would take big money.

I am pleased we are getting our signings done quick again, and I see we are back in training already.  Not too long now before friendly matches start.  Hoping to see some matches this season.

Cheers

So, Wilbraham's gone.... Maybe Marlon King from Birmingham to replace him? Striker seems one of the obvious positions to get another player.

I doubt Marlon King will make it past the board of approval.

Wouldn't mind seeing Rhodes of Huddersfield replace him.  Smile

Birmingham - quite like Curtis Davis and some of their younger players, how about you if you had a choice?

Oh yeah, forgot about that!  embarassed I was just having a nosy round the Birmingham squad given the hughton connection, but perhaps not the best idea!

I have a work colleague who is a Leeds supporter, and it seems that Leeds are getting rid of all their good players, and buying hoofers and kickers. He blames Ken Bates (Papa Smurf), and you have to say that there is a good chance of Leeds struggling this year.

So if you wave enough money under Papa's nose, he'll grab it with both hands. :)

Hope so, I don't understand why we are messing around, it's not as if we are talking that much money here, and we have been after him for ages.  Come on Delia get your cheque book out!
