no dac input for naim cd 3.5 cd player.
i have a naim cd 3.5 cd player, nait3 converted (nac92 pre amp). naim nap 180power amp driving linn keilidhs. i was really dissapointed to learn that i cant add a rega dac to add on to my cd player because it doesnt have optical or coax inputs. i may still buy one to use with my panasonic blue ray and humax hdr. if my cd player DID support a dac, would the sound have been much more detailed than playing mp3 files thru my laptop? or can i use the b r players transport to play my cds? if so, again, would i be losing much sound quality than if i was using the more upmarket transport on the naim cd player. is it possible to make naim cd player play thru the rega dac?
incidently, sound quality when playing music dvds thru the b r player sounds much better than the naim cd player. and thats just in standard mode and not blue ray. any feed back would be much appreciated. thank you in advance.
