Netbook Questions/Connecting to TV via VGA
Looking to pick up a netbook as I need to be able to go online when Im out and about. It'll also be used for controlling iTunes/Spotify with my airport express.
1.) There seems to be the Asus EeePC and MSI Wind as the most well known. Both have N280 processor, 1GB of RAM (can be upgraded to 2GB), 160 GB hard drive, n wireless and bluetooth. As they seem to have the same specs is there any differences between the manufacturers?
2.) Im looking to hook this up to my Panasonic 46PZ85B. There's some online TV channels, mostly American sport, and I may want to view them on my telly. I know the quality may not be that great blown up to that size. They both have a VGA connection. Will this look ok on my tv? Most cables seem to have the screws on them but the netbooks don't have the holes. I take it this is no problem, the cable will plug in but won't be screwed in?
3.) The Dell Mini 10 has an HDMI output on it. Would I better waiting for more netbooks to get this or is VGA fine? I can get the Asus on Amazon for £255, the Dell is pushing £400. Again might it be better to buy cheaply now and change in 18 months when HDMI might be on all the netbooks?
4.) Windows 7. They look like they'll come with Windows 7 starter pretty soon. What's the difference between it and Home Premium? If I get one without Windows 7 but get an upgrade disc, i take it I would need an external DVD drive to install it?
