Thanks for the links bb, interesting, i'll definatly try before i buy, quite interested in this one:
There are a few threads on that particular brand of mattresses on moneysavingexpert.com:
And some reviews: 3.4 isn't too bad, but worth reading some reviews:
Well i won't be buying that one then, thanks for the links/reviews bb, anybody any comments on this dormeo:
formerly known as slewis ---
I haven't heard of that brand before. When I was in the market for mattresses, I was advised not to buy cheap memory foam mattresses. That mattress is only £199. It's worth spending more on them.
Hopefully someone more knowledgeable about memory foam mattresses will come along and offer better advice.
I've heard good things about Silentnight and Sealy. Argos have a sale going on at the moment:
It's £199 for a single & it's £350 for a king size.
I will scream if anybody recomends it because i could have bought it for £290 with free 10.5 tog duvet thrown in.

Thanks for the link bb thats another one to consider.
Without a "clever" cover to help keep you cool, you will be drenched with sweat in the Summer, with Memory Foam (as has been said).
"Everything has been said before, but since nobody listens we have to keep going back and beginning all over again." André Gide
I've come accross this,
Seriously thinking of buying it, anybody any thoughts.
@ Cno it's a memory topper i want to buy, if i get a low tog duvet surely i shouldn't sweat.
It's where you contact the foam that sweets.....anyway, I wish you success with whatever you go for.
I've hit the buy button, it's a bargain, i just hope i haven't made a mistake, it should arrive sometime next week.
We expect a review after a home demo.
Have i stumbled upon a noval Room Acoustics thread?
I must admit going into Dreams and Chosing a £800 matress a Dreams by Slumberland one. Going home and checking on the internet seeing the exact same spec on the Slumberland site with another name, Googled the name and hey presto £400. Dreams never again canceled the order!
New matress exactly the same as in Dreams. Another lesson learnt.

Have you tried Ikea.
They do the most comfy mattresses I've ever slept on (personal opinion) and they were about £120 for a kingsize. They are foam and feel (to me) as good as a memory foam one that I tried - but importantly don't make you so hot!
We ended up kitting out 12 sperate beds (2 houses) with them and have had no complaints from any guests.
