Need marantz CD 67OSE FIX

Hi can anyone help me I have a marantz cd 67ose that has stopped playing my discs now I know this is an old player but I am very fond of it
I have had this problem for a while and it's a strange one from what I remember it just suddenly would not play anything the disc is not spinning up I think or at least I cannot hear it
And the display just says disc
I guess I am hoping that someone may now of a fix I could try I did try contacting marantz but never really got a reply
I can not even get a lens cleaner to load
This all happened suddenly as I said please someone help me get this sorted if no one has a fix anyone know somewhere in Southampton where I could get it looked at

Hi Gaz,
Have you managed to get your cd67fixed? It could be a dead or dying laser or just a bad connection. I am not an expert but have rebuilt and modded a few of these machines. And would be interested in knowing if you found the faut.
I still have my CD67OSE Mkii after full modifications, blowing capacitors and finally getting it to read discs!!!
It is good value for money and with the right modifications could compete favourably with most so called 'high end' players.
