music acts you missed live
Not too late (yet) but always wanted to see Faithless and or the Prodigy live.
Also Smashing Pumpkins and Pixies as well as Leftfield.
I'll get my coat...
timwileman:sounds excellent, i take it you enjoyed
Not as much as The Clash at the Rainbow on my birthday in '77. Support bill included The Jam!

I wasn't!
Andrew Everard:You just brought back a shudder of nostalgic recollection of the 1975 Christmas Eve Queen gig at Hammersmith Odeon - it was an amazing experience.
I stayed up to watch that on the telly - you were there?!?!?!?
is there anyone you missed live Andrew?
either missed as in never go round to seeing them or missed as in were not old enough...?

Well, got taken by an aunt to see The Beatles when I was about 6, and all i can remember is lots of screaming, so I guess I was too young for that one!
Regrets? I`ve had a few. And here is one I`d like to mention...
Queen
The year is 1986. I`d never seen Queen live. I should point out that I used to be notorious for not going to enough gigs. If I had some money to spare it would nearly always go on adding to my record collection rather than seeing bands live. Looking back that was probably a mistake as of course you don`t know how long someone is going to be around for. I liked Queen quite a bit back in the 80`s but over the last twenty years or so my admiration for the band has grown and grown.
My local as it was at the time were running a competition to win tickets for Queen at Wembley courtesy of one of the well known brewers (can`t remember which one). If you buy a pint you get an application card which contains questions about Queen. End of the day first fully correct card drawn out of the hat wins the tickets. "Too easy" I think to myself. Everyone`s bound to get them all correct. I`ve got no chance. Still, might as well have a go. Tell you what, I`m busy getting this round in at the moment. I`ll fill it in later. Of course I never got round to it. Idiot.
Next time I`m in there I enquire as to who won the tickets. " Oh, well we went through them all and not one person answered every question correctly. Gave them to the guy who does the food as his son is a big Queen fan."
"Blast it" I thought to myself. I knew all the answers so even if mine was the last drawn out I would have won. What an idiot.
I took it quite well at the time as I thought to myself that I`ll just have to make sure I catch them on their next world tour. Mmmnnn...

You are so old.
I know.
JohnNewman:I turned down tickets to see Nirvana when I was younger...it would have been the last opportunity to see them live in the UK.
ouch!

I appreciate Nirvana for breaking the Seattle scene, else we probably wouldn't have heard of Alice in Chains or Soundgarden. But I never liked their stuff. Too simplistic for me, but then I'm a Dream Theater fan....Everything's too simplistic for me!

sounds excellent, i take it you enjoyed
