I think not knowing people, or their age, is part of the attraction of forums etc. So I'm not saying.
But I do look and act younger than my years.
I think I'm close in age to the_Lhc, but I'm not sure.
Actually, he's gone a bit quiet on this post, they say the older you get, the earlier you go to bed.

I've no idea how old you are so I couldn't comment.
No, but there was nothing else to comment on before now. I am doing other things as well. Need to be up at 5 though so won't be long for this world...
No signature worth mentioning...
When i left school in the early eighties i used to cycle 3-4 miles into leicester & then 3-4 miles to the co-op in glenfield to do a full day's work for about £50 a week, you should see me now i'm quite the opposite.

You mean you cycle 4 miles from the co-op, then 4 miles from Leicester, and pay £50 for the privilege?

Was a summer job at the local pub (rural, Wilts) - the garden's wrought iron benches needed rubbing down / de-rusting / re-painting and the wooden tables required sanding and a lick of sealant.
Worked in the garden, the weather was glorious, pay was £12 / day cash, endless char and biccies, a ploughman's and a couple of pints at lunchtime were gratis, and my 'commute' was a five-minute stroll across a field. Happy days.
And for the most part, it's all been downhill since
I used to work for them!
Nice one. I love ships too. I have been on about 10 cruises. Like to spend my retirement on a cruise ship non stop.
Not in Portsmouth in Surface ships though Lhc eh?
So did I!
