I have actually never had a job before, not a proper one anyway!  Smile

Bank robber?

Guess just born lucky!  Something like that anyway.  Had my first appointment at a employment agency today!  So I guess I will soon be in the rat race!  Since leaving University my mental health went down hill, now I have a lot of people looking out for me, so onwards and upwards.  Smile

So how do you finance a hi-fi addiction without a job ?

Born into a bit of money.  I did once do a work placement while at university, which I earned quite a bit of money from, but I am still waiting to land my first proper job! I also don't spend money on anything else.

Ooh, forgot about that, I washed up on Saturday's in the canteen at the car auction my mum worked at when I was a teenager, can't remember what the money was like but that's where the car interest started (and the first time I ever saw a Sunbeam Lotus *gush*).

Before that though the very first job was two weeks working in a mate's dad's metalworking factory, tons of overtime, I remember getting what seemed like a fortune at the time, and I lost about 2 stone! It was dull though, and I've hated the smell of cutting fluid ever since...

Just out of mild curiosity, how old are you, cos I think I'm a mile off with my previous guesses...

First job after school was as a managing director's assistant/computer programmer. I wasn't qualified for either.

Lasted 3 months. The final straw came at the Xmas party, after a bit too much drink, I compared the MD's secretary to a bucket. :)

Mid-40s! Although I couldn't give you a reason why I thought that.

I genuinely was going to say 32.

But like when you do the lottery, and all 6 numbers are one away, it amounts to nothing. <img src=" />

RE: Memories of your first job

I think not knowing people, or their age, is part of the attraction of forums etc. So I'm not saying.

But I do look and act younger than my years.

I think I'm close in age to the_Lhc, but I'm not sure.

Actually, he's gone a bit quiet on this post, they say the older you get, the earlier you go to bed. ;)
