Apparently, Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy, both decades long friends of the actor were at his bedside.

I much loved and enjoyed the original series as well as the new first season on channel 5.

Very sad

Very sad indeed.

Even though he must have been very ill for the New Dallas series, he was still able to dig up the old JR menace.

Indeed. According to his friends and fellow actors he was also a genuinely nice, caring and funny man.
