Just started to sort out my Dads house He sadly passed away on Tuesday
Hi all I am sat here in my Dads house surrounded by memories I have just started to go. Through things trying to make sure photos etc don't get binned hundreds of lps which I haven't even looked at yet he loved musicals and his organ music Reginald Dixon on his mighty Wurlitzer etc I think there's some 78s and a wind up gramophone there's a great big Tanberg cross field reel to reel and loads of tapes sad really as they will probably end up in the skip hopefully I won't feel so blue tomorrow when my brothers get here ( Hitchin Herts ) I came down from Norwich today sorry to run on
Sorry to hear that man, don't think I could bin my dad's stuff (although he hasn't got anything like that), it'd be like binning his memories or something. Hope there's some good memories while you're sorting through all that.
Condolences. Enjoy/cherish those memories
Hi,
Sorry to hear of your loss TM. Hopefully you will remember the good times and as you sift through his belongings, fond memories you forgot you had will come to the fore.
All the best,
Cofnchtr.
Sorry to hear your sad news TM.
Thanks Guys I will always have fond memories he was a very clever guy and being an engineer there are some fantastic models scratch built which will be given pride of place in my home there are 3 O gauge live steam 4 6 2 locos among other things like a Lancaster bomber on a hoop that you can alter the angle of the plane to asimolate flight Your thoughts have cheered me up
Sorry to hear the bad news. My condolences.
It might be worth putting the old records and hifi gear on eBay rather than in a skip. It could be worth a few bob.

Very sorry to hear this. All the best.
Must be hard going through some great memories at this sad time.
That's going to be an emotional job TM. I guess it will be nice if somebody else could get pleasure from some of his stuff. My condolences.
Sorry to hear that Toyota Man...sad news indeed. As someone pointed out earlier, you may be surprised at how many positive loving memories you get you start sifting through everything. Especially if there are other family members helping. Best Wishes
Condolences. I too would fnd it dificult getting rid of anything. I hope you manage to sort something out.
My sympathies go out to you, TM.
