If it works, why fix it ? This Old House theme tune

I was browsing through the Sky listings this morning and after happening across This Old House on the Discovery Shed channel, was looking forward to a nice relaxing day in front of the telly watching a programme that I fondly remember from years gone by.

Unfortunately they've changed the theme tune from Fats Waller's catchy Louisiana Fairytale to some bland, unwhistable rubbish. Then I find that Steve Thomas is no longer the host. Took me long enough to get over Bob Vila leaving, but at least Steve was a good personnable replacement.  Why oh why oh why can't they leave things be !?!  I haven't been this upset and disappointed since they changed Barney Rubble's voice on the Flintstones.  Grrr....

Still, it prompted me to look up Louisiana Fairytale on Youtube and there are some excellent performances on there which has tempered my disappointment a bit.
