How the hell do I change my settings

The chances are you're reading this as one long winding unreadable paragraph. Indeed, no doubt that is the first thing that would put me off - looks awful, so move on & read the next posting instead. Well, truth is i've tried changing my settings to enable paragraphs etc, but they just won't save! So dear WHF, can you please help me? How do i stop writing one continuous paragraph? Perhaps then people might, just might, read some of my postings & offer their advice! Are there any notes on this site that help idiots like myself navigate easily & change/understand the various settings? Please help ...
John's post here offers some good tips on doing it. You basically have to know a few HTML formatting codes until they get the new website up and running (coming soon!).
