Daily Telegraph have just tweeted this
If true will Mourinho be tempted or Moyes?

Well Dean Saunders is available, as will be Rafa shortly
Seriously though, it's either the greatest job in football or an impossible one to follow on from Fergie. A strong character is required for sure.
The Dortmund manager is well regarded apparently, but he might be just the flavour of the month.
Contrary to recent public announcements, I cannot possibly believe that Fergie's eventual departure has not been discussed behind the scenes at length, and should the Telegraph story be true I'm sure the board will have a pretty good idea who they want.

Rooney will be pleased.
Oh no! I hope they don't go and poach our manager, Gary Johnson.

Been confirmed then:
The greatest manager of all time. Gonna be a strange atmosphere at old Trafford on Sunday, mixed emotions. My choice would be moyes to come in.
I reckon Phil Neville will be his assistant.
Ferguson is without doubt a wonderful winning machine and Man U have to be congratulated for keeping faith with him early on when things were not so rosy.
I will not be sorry to see him go though because he is incapable of losing to a better team on a particular day. It is always someone elses fault, usually the ref or linesman, just never that Man U were beaten by a better team this day.
We do tend to denegrate winners in the UK and I don't wish to do that. I just wish he had the moral fortitude to lose with grace.

I was going to argue for Sir Matt Busby retaining that title but found out his winning stats with MU (50.45 percent between 1945 - 1969 and 52.38 percent in 1970-71), were much lower than Sir Alex Ferguson's overall winning percentage with MU of 59.65 percent. (Plus his drawn matches to lost matches ratio was far better than under Sir Matt Busby.)

Certainly football won't be the same again. Whoever comes in will have a shed-load of reputation and expectation to deal with.
Jose looks tailor-made for the position: He's leaving Real Madrid and is good buddies with Fergie but... and it is a big BUT Mourinho has a £20 mill buying-out clause plus his wages. One has to consider that Fergie has built a team around old Man U players. Do the Glaziers have the courage to employ a manager that, let's be honest, comes with a lot of baggage?
Moyes is the safe choice: he has a good record in the Premiership but will Man U want more than just domestic titles?
Phil Neville good buddies with Jose too. Rafa thinks Jose will be at Chelsea though.
Rafa for United? Nothing would surprise me in Football.
Apparently, in tribute to Fergie all the Premiership matches this weekend will play an extra 2 minutes. :)
Can't believe that Wigan game played an extra 9 minutes!
