is it just me or are there an awful lot of sales on at the mo...

is it because of the credit crunch do you think...

went out shopping for holiday wear this weekend and bagged over 200 quids worth of stuff for about 70 notes

will the av/hifi market be beset by 70% off sales soon? ... Smile

Yep, plenty of sales on at the moment. However, the majority of the sort of stuff I buy is still cheaper online, though I can well imagine clothers would be cheaper in the shops right now. As well as that school summer holidays aren`t the best time to wander around my town. In other words I haven`t been tempted back to the shopping centre as yet.

p.s. Don`t forget your suntan lotion Tim! Hope you won`t need one of these Umbrella

Yes, it is just you... but maybe the 'crunch' is having an effect Smile

This is the traditional time to clear out all your Summer stock, to make way for the Winter ranges. Well, the pre-Christmas Winter ranges anyway. It happens every year, retail stores in September are tumbleweed central.

But I think there are heftier discounts in certain areas this year, maybe as stores are making sure they shift their stock in this uncertain period.

I don't think we'll see many crazy sales in the hi-fi biz though, sadly!
