Help needed for questions for BBC Question Time
Ask them why such an entertaining and informative TV programme that is possibly the most relevant reflection of what is currently happening in our fair country is on at such a stupid time.
All good questions but maybe I should ask why my original post is blank!
It should have said that I have been selected to be in the audience on Question Time tonight. You have to submit two questions one in advance and one when you arrive. My first question was about the Autumn Statement but I'm struggling for a second questions so I'm looking for some suggestions.
At the risk of sounding like a dodgy phone call, tell us what you're wearing so that when Mr D says "the man in the <add colour here> shirt" we can all shout, "hey, there's Distorted Vision"
He'll be the one with the really dodgy glasses!
There will, inevitably, be politicians on the panel. For that reason alone I cannot think of a question that would be broadcastable (or could even be written here without deletion by the moderators).
Given your forum name you could ask them why the NHS in Scotland pays opticians properly for their work but the NHS in England only pays about half as much. Consequence to consumer is that spectacles prices are inflated to "cross-subsidise" NHS eyecare in England. Could quote the "Bosanquet report" from Imperial College London which identified this some 5 years ago.
A couple of possible ideas ;
- Has the Dandy had its day?
- Thoughts around Scotland having to re-apply to the EU, if they become independent.
I don't know if they are going to chose my question! Everyone has to submit two questions. Not posting my real name - I use Distorted Vision on all forums and don't wish to attract any attention! I've already had my EA Origin account hacked this week.

You could ask why David Dimbleby won't let panellists speak? I know he has to steer discussion, but his interventions are often premature (not to mention irritating).
The most obvious question would be: How did George Osborne best Ed Balls yesterday, despite being a sneering, unapologetic ideologue (or how did the Grinch steal even more Christmases)? You might want to temper some of my language, though. I'm guessing countless audience members will have submitted a question about the autumn statement, so as you note, you'd be doing well to get that one in...
You could ask whether a collective of newspaper owners is capable of setting the terms of a genuinely independent regulatory system? Again, I'm guessing that question will have gone...
If you're a royalist, you could ask how King Edward VII staff were fooled by one of the worst impressions in history (I think I could do a better Queen than that, despite my baritone voice)?
You could ask whether the govt. plans to take action against UK companies that facilitate "legal" tax avoidance, or in some cases money laundering?
These all seem like obvious questions, however. A local angle might be your best route in.

Ask them why the new What Hi Fi forum suffers from the same bugs as the old one.
