Have You Ever Heard Voices Before?
I had my first experience last year - pretty spooky. How about you?
Do you need help?
I got help - cheers!
I once heard a door banging late in the night.....realised that a couple of windows were open resulting in cross ventilation. Quite spooky until I realised what was going on.
Is this in a ghostly or schizophrenic kind of way?
All the time when i have the tv on, it's the silence that worries me.

I was in pychosis for about 4-5 months - hearing voices and halluation (think I spelt that right), it was why I was away from the forum for a while.

Yeah paranoid schizophrenia I got diagnosed with - I am on medication now but it did get bad. Basically it was like being in a nightmare you can't wake up from.

It's hallucination. Pleased you're felling better now.
A lot of strange phenomena can be explained naturally, such as residual sound from outside, imagination (usually at night or when one is tired)...
What did this voice say to you?

Hallucination. Seeing things are called visual hallucinations & hearing voices are called auditory hallucinations. It can be quite disturbing. Hope you're better now.
I see dead people.

That's very insightful! Thanks for sharing! Even the books I read did not explain paranoid schizophrenia so nicely! Medical books make us feel so detached from conditions.

It was my old pychirichist (haven't spelled that right either) voice in my head, I thought I had been hypnotised by him, only when I got diagnosed did I realise what was happening. He was giving me commands and basically being threatened non stop if I did not do them. Got on meds and they went away. I also thought the TV and radio was talking to me specifically.

you were diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia after 4 months of hearing voices?! That sounds like hasty diagnosis to me. Lots of people whoexperience psychotic episodes do not have schizophrenia or go on to experience it. Glad you were able to get help so quickly, many don't and suffer for a long time without help.
Not experienced voices myself but worked with lots of people who have.
