Agree with that one!
I love this quote:
"The British nation is unique in this respect: they are the only
people who like to be told how bad things are, who like to be
told the worst."
Winston Churchill

I assume this was made before his rousing speeches of the 40s: "We will fight them on the beaches...we will never surrender..." These pesky Politicians, they are the limit.![]()
When someone steps on your toe and you apologise to them - definately a British thing
I've no idea as we cant even get decent Boddingtons anymore
and I rarely drink!!!
I do agree with the comment above as well that we think things are better elsewhere (well they probably are on Easter Island or in th'Arctic Circle)!

Having four seasons weather in one day (Yes. And complaining about it PP).
Food from other countries is infinitely more interesting, available and popular than traditional British food. (Why can't you get steak, chips & peas delivered?)
The ability to get completely exploited by big business/government, and do nothing about it but moan into our cornflakes. (Have you seen the price of petrol lately!!!!)

Thats the best way. Things can only get better then.

200 years of british occupation in Malta has made us very similar in that matter.
Rich cultural heritage, and some of the finest scenery and architecture anywhere in the world.

Why do people buy these sandwiches? They are very over priced, and in Spain they stop work and have a Tapas, while in France they'll have a snack of probably fresh seafood. We have the mass produced sandwich that comes in plastic wrappers.
I love sanwiches, but get it from the bakers - even better, make them yourself....

Because we're lazy PP; getting TOO much like America! It's all convenience these days and we're obviously 'far too busy' to eat decent, sensible food!!!
My missus, me and our families eat a lot like our fello bretheren on the Continent. We eat a lot of fresh produce (either grown by us or bought through local, organic channels) etc...
We also eat a lot of seafood that usually gets shipped abroad as there's no business for it over here like clams, cockles and razor fish!
It's stupid IMO
