One week to go, is anyone brave enough to make a prediction for Australia?
Oh Lord, here we go again, we're about to get Fingered!
He's not a diamond geezer, or called Joe!
And he clocked his P1 time with faulty KERS
Still, there's a school of thought that suggests that although the Merc may not have the ultimate pace, it is very 'kind' to its tyres...
Could be the year of The Ice Man then.
You can't exchange a six inch band for all the poisoned streams in Cumberland.
I wouldn't get too excited yet.
Last year Herr Vettel didn't win until the 4th GP and he didn't win again until the 14th.
More importantly, what has happened to the BBC pundits?! Who is that boring woman they replaced Jake Humphrey with? (Sorry, I should have said 'staggeringly boring' and mind numbingly humourless.)
I hope it was just first race nerves and that isn't going to be normal fare from now on.
She almost achieved the (previously impossible) feat of making David Coulthard seem like the witty one!

Slag off Suzi Perry as much as you like, I'm delighted to see the back of Humphries, I never thought he belonged on the BBC F1 team.
Didn't see that result coming, delighted The Finger didn't win, but I still think he'll wrap up the championship in no time.
(I've heard the name. Seem to recall JD waxing lyrical about her charms once.)
Interesting race. Those Pirelli super-soft tyres are nuts! Interesting that the faster man on them all afternoon was.... Jules Bianchi at Marussia!

Jake left to BT Vision to do the football I think - reading his blog at the end of last year, I think mostly because he's looking to set up a family and didn't therefore want to be in a different part of the world for half the year. Shame as I thought he was very good personally. Not sure on Suzi yet, at least she has some motor racing background, so although it was matter of fact, it was a far cry from the cringe worthy ITV days.
Yeah, I enjoyed it, but certainly wasn't quite the show stopper we'd hoped for. Good to see Lotus and Mercedes looking like they can put up a challenge amongst the usual suspects, and hopefully the likes of Sauber and Force India can also mix things up with the top teams a bit more often as well to spice things up.
Slag off Suzi Perry as much as you like, I'm delighted to see the back of Humphries ...
+1 He's too smug and the way he tried to be all buddy-buddy with the Brit drivers, especially JB, was toe-curling.
And props to the BBC for giving the pivotal role to a female, who's also the antithesis of SkyChavB's orange-hued, botox'd 'blandettes'.
Reckon the Lotus's performance was significant: not only does it make its tyres last, it also goes well when they're worn - ie, 'striped' - judging from in-car footage
Sepang's heat / humidity and high-speed corners should prove interesting. Can't wait
The 2013 McLaren's problems - ouch!
And the '13 McLaren's design was helmed by Paddy Lowe, who's been poached by the Mercedes team's new management to, in effect, replace Ross Brawn...
Suzi was very good in MotoGP and she has a Ducati. Enjoyed the season opener and I bet Hamilton's happy he is driving a Mercedes!
Well (literally) technically, the car was designed by Tim Goss - the guy who's taken over from Paddy Lowe as McLaren technical director....There was a detailed discussion of this (including with Martin Whitmarsh) on Sky's F1 coverage last weekend.
And talking of Sky - they are now (thankfully) without Georgie Thompson. Only female on the F1 team is now Natalie Pinkham - previously at BBC and evidently very popular with drivers/teams.
Aye, but Lowe was in charge overall - he signed-off Goss's 'design'.
Meanwhile, here's a nice short-film (02:36) of a McLaren that works
*cynical mode on*
Lowe already thinking of leaving before/as he signed that design off? Mercedes started recruiting at end of last season. Norbert Haug left in December and Toto Woolf joined in Jan, Paddy Lowe in Feb....
