Well 6 different winners from 6 races, well done Webber. If Ferrari get the car sorted Alonso will win the title me reckons.

Quite a dull race really. Anyway, 6 out of 6 - jolly good - now lets see if Lewis can make it 7 out of 7 (McLaren tend to go quite well in Canada) or maybe - dare I say it - SchuMichael?  Shock

Really? I quite enjoyed it - 6 cars finishing within 7 seconds of each other + threat of rain made it a pretty exciting race and especially good finish (for me anyway).

I'm getting harder to please Prof Wink

Although it was close at the end, I just didn't get the feeling that the order was in much danger of changing - even with the rain - at any other track (with the possible exception of Valencia) we might have had an exciting race, but not in Monaco, racing is impossible, almost pointless.

However, would I like to see it for myself? You bet your hat I would. Smile

Red Bull must make changes for the Canadian Grand Prix holes in their cars' floors were deemed illegal. Took long enough for the FIA to make a decision on it though.

Let's just hope Button can do as well as last year in CanadaLaughing

It seems the hacktivist group Anonymous are trying to disrupt this weekends race again, I'm just wondering beside them hacking into the official F1 web site could they actually interfere with the race itself.     As far as the race goes this weekend I think Jenson needs a podium spot to keep in the runnings or he needs to be the seventh different winner as the top 4/5 could start pulling away this weekend.

He has won a race this year (in Australia).

It will be difficult for Button to be the 7th different winner especially as he won at Albert Park.

You are right though grifz he certainly needs a podium, preferably a win to keep his chances alive for winning the championship. Unusually Button has not been as consistant as Hamilton this season who is in a lot better position to win, never discount the underdog in F1 things can change rapidly as we all know.

I just noticed that  Jenson Button needs one more win to equal the number of F1 race wins held by Emerson Fittipaldi, Graham Hill and Jack Brabham. (14 each)

His F1 race wins currently equal the number won by a certain David Coulthard and Alberto Ascari. (13 each)

Yes thats right chebby & out of all their sons, it was only Damon Hill who has done better in regards to race wins having 21.

Sorry my mistake I was in or just returned from Florida and have completley forgot. Jenson just seems off the pace but I'm sure he can find his form again, I think the McLaren cars are the best cars at the moment just jensons cool consistancy or in Hamiltons case pit stop problems have stopped the two British drivers being top of the leader board. Hopefully they both find there form

I see genial uncle Bernie is hinting at the end of free-to-air F1 coverage in the UK, no real surprise, doesn't mean I'm happy about it though. I think it gives a clear definition of what Ecclestone thinks of F1 fans - wallets! I'd better make the most of the next few years because I have no intention of coughing up for Sky  Angry

Rant over. Looking forward to Canada, I'm willing Hammy, SchuMichael (would you believe it?!) or Mazzer on to victory - or anyone else who hasn't won a race this year.

BE has no interest in FTA coverage anymore.

Italy is going a similar way as the UK from next season, Sky Italia has taken the rights from RAI (Italian PSB/FTA broadcaster) and 9 races will be made available to a yet TBC terrestrial broadcaster.

A sobering statistic for Lewis: as of the Canadian GP, his tally of races with McLaren now equals Ayrton Senna's.

Granted, Ayrton won his three titles during McLaren's belle époque, and when there were fewer races per season, but perhaps its time for Lewis to play 'follow the Newey'?

It's still obviously far too early to tell, but I'm gonna stick my neck out and say Alonso will take the title this year (NB - not who I want to do it, just who I think may well).

Anyone else gonna have an early guess and we can see how we did in November!
