My favourite boardgame, although it's not exactly a Christmas classic, was the german classic Formula Dé, F1 racing in a boardgame, absolutely brilliant and dozens of track expansion packs.
No signature worth mentioning...
We got Where is Moldova a few weeks back - it starts off as quite a lot to remember (especially when you'd drunk the amount of wine I had the first I played), but once you've played it a couple of times, it's easy to remember and it's quite enjoyable. Two good things about it are (a) it's not just knowing lots of general knowledge / having some sort of skill - it helps if you do, but the game is also based on chance, so everyone has a chance of winning; (b) games generally last about 1 - 2 hours, rather than 3 - 4 hours some games can take which can be a bit much at Christmas time!
Or this very retro game (Funny Bones), that you can only now get from the likes of here: http://www.dicemaestro.com/vintage-games/retroactive-store-item.asp?stoc...

Thanks for the replies folks.
I ordered a few games the other night, can't remember what they are now, just that one team has to shout out silly answers to silly questions...still,after a few could be fun....or not
That's a good description of this forum!
