Sort of - I hail from very very south west Bristol (300yds from the somerset border) but we have a static caravan at St Audries, near Watchet where I've been going most weekends since I was knee high to a grasshopper!

Re: fave foods

Dont do Take-Aways mainly due to the fact you can make it far better yourself.

When Weather permits I will cook on My self-built BBQ which has a seperate PIZZA oven built into the rear of the Main Grill aera which can also be used as a Smoker,Hmmmm Smoked Chicken....Beer

Fav Dishes are (all from scratch!) Chicken Tikka, Home Made Burgers which the Kids love making togher, whole roasted Curried Chicken and My absolute Fav being a dee-boned saddle of Lamb stuffed with sage and Mushrooms slow roasted in the Pizza oven.

Unfortunatly most of us have fallen out of love with food in this country and tend to go for the so called easy option of ready meals and Take-Aways. Imagine just how good food can be if we were all as passionate about as we all are (well on here anyway) about AV equipment???Yes

Well, forum regulars will know I love a good casserole - made another one just the other day, though I was sober this time...

I love that thai soup with prawns, and a nice green curry.
But my favourite has to be proper Tapas, in Spain. A table full of many different foods...Y.....um

or a medium rare Ribeye!

Re: fave foods

Curry all the way. If time's tight, we'll order one, but I can make one much tastier than any I've had as take-away.

Gotta agree with the chili cheese fries..They're one of my faves.

Sweet? You can't beat a fresh cream doughnut IMO.

I am so with you on the takeaway stance! And to that I'm adding the evil that is the ready meal.

You're right on our attitude to food. But I'll stop there as this one's a particular soapbox issue of mine.

Respect on the pizza oven, can you get it hot enough? I have a genuine Napolitan recipe for pizza dough if you want it. Willing to swap for your Saddle of lamb recipe.

Well, I've been making casserole for years and you can't really go wrong. I think the drunk one just topped it though - probably the extra wine I poured in!

Likewise,we avoid take-aways and ready meals. We love going to the farm shop on a Saturday and stocking up on fresh produce.

Med influenced grub is our favs, like Braised chicken with tomatoes, rosemary, cumin and paprika. Oh don't forget the garlic! Served with roasted veg and cous-cous or pasta. Marvellous.
