'Expectant Fathers'...have your say...
Andrew Everard:Big Aura:Parents should be seen, and not heard? That's the one.
Care to re-think that one Mr E, I'm not a parent, so by that logic I can blather on as much as I like...

D'oh...
Had the maternity ward tour this afternoon. One week to go - 'tis all seeming very real now!

Make a mental note of where that gas is, YOU are going to need it![]()
if you think it all seems real now, wait and see what it's like in a weeks time...
you get to find out why sleep deprivation is used as a form of torture.
good luck though...

Indeed - it was duly noted
. And the midwife doing to tour said nothing about it NOT being for fathers so guess it's OK.
They've refurbished the maternity ward since we had our first one and it's very impressive. I know we all like to moan about the NHS but when thinking of all the babies around the world born in slum houses etc it makes me realise how lucky we are to be in such good hands...

roger06:... still waiting.
Good luck Mr & Mrs Roger !! Must be nervous but excited tho...my OH is due Jan 4th, but frankly with all the false alarms and hospital visits, high bllod pressure, pre-eclampsia etc I will be relieved when we finally get into December and don't expect to even make it to January !!
Very best wishes to you all anyway...
Thanks Ricardo!
Good luck to you too. While I'm hugely impressed with pre natal care I sometimes wonder if it's too good. I reckon no matter how fit and healthy the mum is and how well things are going they are always determined to find something to worry you about. In days gone by you didn't know if blood pressure what slighlty off or blood sugar levels were 0.1% below normal so you didn't worry !
Mrs Roger06 has told me umpteen times something they're concerned about but I can't remember what.
something about needing anti biotics when going into labour or something - but it was the same last time and everything was fine.
My OH is completely relaxed and accepts it'll come out when ready - but for a bloke, blimey - I was told the 28th November so could I sit still over the weekend?
It's all good fun!
Any news from Roger regarding his upcoming (now over due ) arrival...? Hope all is well with you all and keep us posted...
roger06:so could I sit still over the weekend?
Think yourself lucky that you'll still be able to sit after it's all over, unlike Mrs Roger06...
