'Expectant Fathers'...have your say...
So here it is then, we seem to have started something on this topic on another thread, so maybe there is a few out there who are expecting a baby soon, had one recently or have something to say on a new baby related topic...
Fatherhood is fine ... I have three in their teens now and it was all good.... still have to watch them for all things safe.... no one told me about this
I have a 3 year old lad and he's the best thing in the world. When people say they don't stay babies for long, it's right that first 12 months or so just flashes by.
Having had a baby with Cholic I wouldn't wish that on anyone. The near constant cryinging for around 12 weeks is a torture for the parents as well as the baby.
I would suggest any expectant dad gets a chest carrier as they are so much better than trying to get around with a pushchair. Plus having the baby raised up means it's easier to show it things (bad English but you get my drift).
We both hope we can go through it all again so laddo is not an only child. Here's to 5th time lucky.
Ive got a wee girl who is 8 months and it is without a doubt the best thing to have happened to me. There is cons like the lack of sleep and the occasional bouts of crying for no apparent reason. This is all nullified when you say "What's wrong with daddyslittle girl?" and you get a big smiley face back.
I never wanted kids but my partner had an 18 month old who's now 4 and the wee girl came along on top. I love it.
Tests my patience at times and I'm at the same time both grumpier and happier than ever. Not easy but the best things never are!
Heading back to hospital again as my wife has condition cllaed pre-eclampsia (is that right ?) so being closely monitiored etc...will catch up later...
Thanks for sharing...
Yes, please do let us know when she has a 'show'...

Don't worry, you'll soon get over your spontaneous bouts of crying. (In about 20 years with any luck.)
My daughter has just turned 6 months, here is a pic I have just taken of her trying to feed herself a baby biscuit.

How cute is she?![]()

We've got a 4 week old. He's sitting happily here now. Last night we tried to watch a movie and eat dinner.
Baby fed - check.
Dinner cooked by me - wife put baby to bed.
30 mins later - he settles.
Dinner microwaved.
Sat down in front of tv to eat (I hate eating in front of the telly, but needs must...)
Film starts.
Baby cries - pause.
Baby settles.
Opening montage.
Baby cries.
Nappy change.
Play.
