Although England beat Norway last night, they were far from convincing.

A great improvement is needed if they are to progress.

I think it's exactly what is needed not to start all the nonsense. A simple win. Had we won 5-0 we would have been the best in Europe.

Plus, the team will be fairly different come the France match.

Most of England's friendlies are generally sterile affairs. The Norway match was a typical end of season warm down. Can't see the Belgium match being much different.

I'm really looking forward to watching Hazard to see if he can justify all the hype.

True - but England won't risk any players if they are carriying knocks or have injuries. Gareth Barrie already a serious doubt, Hodgson can't afford to lose any more key players.

True also, but  then again it's his first - and last - chance to get a team together with some semblance of the starting line-up for their opening game against France 9-days later.

Gareth Barry out, Phil Jagielka in, i'm scatching my head here, please help.

I'm English and proud of it but the English team won't get out of the group stage.
As usual for me I shall follow Italy, at least its a spectacle even when they get cheated out of wins by the poor refereeing.

Disappointing...

Not as disappointing as the fact that the bloke after me got Spain and said 'right...are they any good?'.

The answer being, 'nah, rubbish, but I'm feeling in a good mood, do you wanna swap?'
